The place is a mess. As I was checking out, the checker put a box on my cart and hit one of my bags on the cart knocking off the bag. the plastic item that was inside cracked on the edge and I said I wanted to get a new one. The checker called a manager over who was very rude and inform me that it was not the store's responsibility to replace items that I broke. Technically her cashier was as guilty as I was. I had the cart. But she push the box that knocked the bag off. I will think twice about going to this Michaels again. Of course hobby lobby is just across the street. They won't wait on you but at least they're not rude and borderline belligerent.

Poor customer service, only one worker walking around the store which caused issues when I needed help because I couldn't find him or he'd be busy. I was buying a present so I needed help on what materials to get as a starter kit and he was not very knowledgeable on cross stitch embroidery which is fine but there was no-one else who could possibly help. It's a pretty nice and big place, like all other Michael's. The people who work there are doing a good job keeping the place near and clean. The lighting is bright and early to navigate. The aisles can be a little narrow, barely fitting two carts side by side without knocking down something.

I didn't even get to explore because I was in a hurry but I asked the cashier if I could use a coupon off the internet and she had it already available at the register. 40% off one item (no matter the price-as long as it's not already on sale and of course the fine print) coupon, just look up their in store coupon on the internet and show it to the cashier. That's a life saver most times!

Tons of things to look at here, both craft related and decor. The organization is a bit wonky, and it feels like they could use a larger staff. If you have a question, it can be tricky to find someone r to ask who isn't busy at a checkout counter. Unfortunately, when I finally find someone to ask, they didn't have an answer, and he actually just left me standing there to help someone else instead. I left before finding out the answer to my question.

The best thing about Michaels is they're open until 9. Other than that, I've found stuff I need (drawing supplies) is often not in stock, and they leave up broken stock. They lock the doors at about 5 til, so just know that. The staff is helpful, but they're often hard to get a hold of (because they're running around stocking stuff). If you want poor customer service, this is the place for you. The manager, Lisa was extremely rude. Don’t expect anyone here to problem solve or do anything extra like actually giving a nice reply when telling you your order isn’t ready. Instead it just “obviously did not come through”. Like I know how your computer works? No matter that I had the order confirmation and all the items are already in stock. No matter that the store was basically empty. Rude replies for everyone! Thanks! Even though they have good sales, it’s not worth the stress or time wasted to shop here and I will not be coming back. Update: even when my pickup order was ready, one of the items I purchased online was not in stock like they said it was and they had to issue a refund. Disorganized much? Update: went back 6/29 to give it another chance and I can confirm coupons at this place are also a joke. The list of items and brands you can't use the coupons on is so long it might as well be half the store. Coupons are also invalid on all online purchases although it says "online and in store"? Basically good luck.

I can always find something to take home, this day I happened to score tons of deals in their $4 grab bags (tho they were huge boxes). I even got a couple outdoor chairs & a beach umbrella for $4 each! This was the 1st time since I've heard about Michael's grab bags that I was fortunate enough to get there before they were gone (I was 1st in the store at opening). Very much looking forward to the next event!

Very little signage to explain where to pick up my online order. The employee I asked, while friendly, did nothing to take and show me where to find it. Rather, they simply pointed me in the general direction leaving me just as lost as when I entered the store. Not a good impression for my first time being in their store.

It's a smaller Michaels, but there is still a good selection since it's filled to the brim with crafting supplies. They have fewer options than Hobby Lobby or Joann's in Sioux Falls since their store is physically smaller, but so long as you're not looking for anything too specific, it's a wonderful option, and very close to the S. Louise Walmart as well. I've also had better luck with employees being helpful and friendly here than I have at the other craft stores. Michael's is generally my go to store unless I'm looking for something (like I Love this Yarn brand yarn) that I can't find at Michael's.

They usually have what I am looking for, and they are an acceptable apolitical alternative to the more openly political Hobby Lobby. I do wish the upkeep was better in this store, but it's not too bad. Their employees have always been helpful and friendly with me.
