Everytime I stopped there my receipt shows they overcharged me. Yesterday was by $16.34 . I went back and I live in Benton . The sale items were all charged full price. I like the store but whomever is in charge of changing the UPC 's to sale prices needs to be evaluated . This is everyones complaint of the store.

If I could give 0 stars i would the service sucks and I've bought way too many expired foods right off the shelf at full price they overcharge and have terrible produce their cashiers are always snippy and there's one in particular who puts her arm on the scale when your buying produce and overcharges you. Terrible do not recommend

The manager only gave my husband 2 days a week because he picked his child support hearing over work and then she decided to fire him and not tell him... all the manager does is smoke and play lottery I think its time for them to find someone whose more mature to manage that place.. and then a customer came in with rotten chicken Sunday night and they wouldn't give him a new chicken at all.

I shop Foodtown if I only need a couple things but for an actual grocery order I go elsewhere. There's a few reasons I'm not a huge fan of the store; price and limited selection are my top two.

I have had numerous issues with being charged full price for items marked on sale or simply charged a higher price than what was written on the shelf. Then yesterday the register went down and I had to wait several minutes for the system to be restarted in order to get my receipt. This was after I paid. The manager insisted that I had to run my card through again despite my explaining that it had already been approved. She assured me that it had not charged my card. I wanted my items so I ran the card again. And was DOUBLE CHARGED. Just like I told her would happen. I had to drive all the way back there today to get this handled. This store is horrible. Pay close attention when you shop there - they seem to have some kind of scam going on to overcharge customers as much as possible.

Really the only supermarket in town, so by default it needs to have a 5 star, all things considered. It's clean, picked up a cut of steak and it was fresh. Beer land in the corner has a great selection of booze!

Staff was very rude. One woman was talking to another customer for 20 minutes about how she hated her job. When i tried to get her attention, she told me to “be quiet because she was talking.” I got a salad made there. Tomato’s were moldy and black, lettuce was frail, croutons were soggy, ham smelled like alcohol, pepper and cucumbers were moldy as well. I got a cup of soup made there, and the chicken wasn’t done. I got extremely sick after trying to eat some of the soup. I recommend you don’t buy here, you might get an experience like this.

The have a very bad food selection. Numerous time I have purchased food from there only to realize that it was out of date. Just today, I had got icecream from there AND IT WAS ALMOST 2 YEAR EXPIRED!! They need to take better care of there products. And also there meant selection is not always fresh. I do not trust there food.

Very quaint little grocery store. Staff was friendly. Even the shoppers we're nice. We found that have a "beer town" inside! Back home in Delaware... We aren't allowed to have adult beverages in our stores. But this was Soo cute! Had I had the time, I would've sat down for a cold one.

Organic meats and poultry as well as traditional meats and poultry and fresh made sausages. Small Produce department with unusual fresh herbs and locally grown produce. Full grocery selection. Beer and alcoholic beverages available in the attached beer deli.

Some of the cashier's need a little more training on how to interact with customers. You are the front lines. Most people don't care if you didn't have that one item they wanted. It's all about how it was handled. Positive customer service. Stop making paying customer's feel as though they have inconvenienced you. And maybe a little kindness. Or try to at least acknowledge there is a person at your register and say hello, instead of having a full conversation with a co-worker while ringing up the items. On a positive note, I like the fresh food section. All the fruits and veggies have always been fresh. Decent selection and availability for a small town grocery store.

I refuse to buy meat from here unless I'm using it that day and even then sometimes it's still bad. Produce is almost always going bad or they still have it on the shelves even when it's rotting. The prices are outrageous. But they are The only choice unless you 3ant to drive 20 minutes any which way...its usually clean tho and The bakery items are good as well as The deli meats.. The employees are very nice and helpful too!

Sells expired products, sometimes outdated by almost a year. A lot of empty slots for some foods, milk and other cooler beverages. Overpriced most of the time on items. It's a shame that it is the only option for elderly people who shop there because of the location. Some cashiers are very nice and helpful while others are downright rude and goof off on the floor in view of customers.

I REALLY disliked my visit to this place...EVERYTHING I purchased was at LEAST one dollar over what I normally pay....WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!! I think it's unfair to the people who don't have a choice and have to shop here due to not having a car or whatever reason....I will not be going back here EVER!!

the store is very pricey. Too often products I buy there are out of date. Today is August 5th and you can see the picture attached says the sell date for the Italian bread is August 6th. The bread is old like a 2 day old bread would taste. I rarely shop there even though it's the closest store to my house.

Almost every item in the store is at least $0.20 higher than any other store in the area. The selection is poor on many items. If you just need to run in there and get something quick and you don't have time to run out to a store that's cheaper go for it if not I pass it up.

The only grocery store in Shickshinny, their prices are not discounted much. They do have good meats most of the time. Their produce on the other hand, is horrible. As expected, they do not carry a large variety, or brand new products.

I have gone into Foodtown and found produce almost completely covered with mold. I have heard tell that the back room aren't very clean. I choose to shop there for canned goods and pre packaged Goods. I find that the staff is very helpful and friendly. I just wish they had better produce and reputation for being clean. They are in a flood zone. And I can imagine that it's hard to keep a building clean when the Susquehanna River comes to visit every so often.
