My server Chelsae (thats how it was spelt) was friendly and attentive. The food was good and so we're the crabs. Prices surprised me, I honestly expected them to be higher. My only problem was that I was freezing and I noticed a few others were cold as well.

No matter the time of day you enter they all always prepared and pleasantly polite. Order is correct and the waiter never disappears after the food is brought out. I hate having to flag a waiter down. Thank goodness you don’t have that problem here. Crab soup is so so yummy!!

This was my first and my last time dining I visited with my daughter it wasn't busy yet my waitress took her time bring food. People came in 20 minutes after we sat down and received there fried food before my daughter received her grill cheese and my salad. I was trying to order additional food from the Happy Hour menu and order food for my husbands dinner and was so rudley interrupted with her cutting me off to state we do not do Happy hour food to take home. I stated I was odering additional food for my self to eat here and and will need the menu to order my husbands dinner to take home before I leave. She said Oh, I thought you was about to order the Happy hour food to take home. ALL I could do is shake my head. Needless to say I was promised a menu to order his food three times yet never reveived it. The soup I ordered had way too much salt in it so instead of her introducing another item off the menu, I was addressed with an attitude. She said "Well that soup is part of the special". Assuming again that's all I could possibly want. Me not wanting to ruin my daughters meal and time with her school friends. I just dealt with it. When she returned to my table she asked if I wantef dessert. I stated no I really have to go I have someone waiting cor me to pick them up. She gets my check, now it's time to pay my bill she took so long coming back to get my money I had to go to the register to pay. I was so over the poor service from this waitress that I never took the time to learn her name. I was there 2/5/19 4pm-5:40, she had black hair in a pony tail she wore black framed glasses. I told my husband and many of my officer friends who never ate there not to dine here. You only get one time with me sorry but not sorry!

Food and service was great! I ordered a dozen medium crabs they were a little pricey but the quality and serviceade up for it. The crabs were sweet and fresh. Chelsea was our waitress and she provided top notch service. The only thing this place is missing is am oceanview!

Overall this is a pretty good restaurant to eat from. I wouldn't call it a whole in the wall but the setting is very casual and it's probably due to the fact that it's a seafood restaurant where you can sit down and eat crabs and have drinks. I've been twice this year. I just came across it recently in my travels and decided to give them a try. My first visit, I tried the crab quesadillas. I didn't really enjoy it because it wasn't enough crab and there were entirely too many raw onions in it, that it overpowered the quesadilla and I love onions! My sister-in-law had the fish and chips and they were pretty good! The service was good, the waitress was really pleasant and helpful. The second time I went, I had a burger and fries and 1/2 pound of steam shrimp. The burger was really good! It was flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection!! Again the service was good on this trip as well! My family enjoyed their meal as well! So even tnough I didn't care for my food the first time, it was still worth trying again and I'm glad I did! They also have weekly specials doing the week which I plan to try on my next visit!

For appetizers we ordered coconut shrimp and the onion loaf. Onion loaf was almost black and the shrimp was very dark on the outside and undercooked on the inside (batter was still in liquid form). We asked for the shrimp to be remade and 3 min later they came back microwaved. We could barely open one piece of shrimp. For dinner we ordered crab imperial, which was very bland and overcooked, and prime rib, also bland. I would choose somewhere else.

So good! Their crab cakes are really good, they are! The service was good, friendly, and fast. The place was clean, friendly environment. It's seems like a customer repeat kind of place. We also had the gumbo, which was really good, albeit only 2 pieces of sausage... Still, we definitely will be coming back!

My Wife and I have been coming to Reter's weekly for years. Treat yourself to a Burger, Seafood Wrap, Steamed Shrimp, the fantastic Hot Fudge Sundae's and more You'll come back to crack Crab's outside under an umbrella...Guaranteed!

Crab cake looked like someone ate some from it and it was disgusting. Ordered a baked potatoe that seemed like they just took out the sack of potatoes and plopped it in the container. There was no aluminum foil to keep it warm. No butter, chives, sour cream, nothing was on it. Not worth $20. It wasnt even worth $5. First and last time eating there.

Hot crab dip is a delicious appetizer but quite expensive. Reter’s is expensive in general. I’ve been there about three times and each time I get the crab pizza. It’s fantastic. Service is good. No complaints. It tends to get a bit loud inside. Not an issue to me but others might not like the volume levels. Overall a good place to eat.

My time at Reter's was outstanding. The Oysters and Lobster Roll both tasted amazing and were filling. Our server Jess couldn't have done a better job and she ended our experience with hardy laughter. How many places do you have dinner and you end up making friends with the people at the next table? The food was delicious! The only disadvantage was the waitress kept your change without asking. I paid for my order and my change was $7.47. She kept the 47 cent as well as everyone else at the table change. I gave her the tip but She took it upon herself to keep everyone coin change. Is this something new at this restaurant? I didn't make a big deal of it but it was just the principle of the situation.

HOWEVER, the cream of crab soup will never be ordered again. It did have lump crab meat but the consistency and flavor was that of white gravy with crab meat....yuck.

The oysters here are pretty good. I've been here for take out quite a few times as I live in another town, and the teenage girls working behind the counter are always friendly and polite. The food is good, however they have gotten my order incorrect several times and I was already home, and couldn't come back. When I called and explained this they were basically like oh well, nothing we can do and that was disappointing.

It was not outstanding. Crab dip, cream of crab soup, crab imperial all of the crab dishes we had at the table were loaded with crab but the treatment made it impossible to taste. It was unfortunate. I would not recommend. Though the service was great. Just a lot of short cuts in the preparation. Unfortunate.

Had steamed crabs, we ordered large, size was good. Opened 1st crab, grey in color, smell of iodine, this happens sometimes, I eat alot of crabs and sometimes you just get a bad one. opened 2nd crab, same, third crab, disgusting.Now I'm done, called waitress. Offered to remake order, i declined. I was hungry so i ordered a soft crab sandwich, edible..that's it. Was finally able to get waitress attention for check. Guess what... I was charged for the 3 crabs, mind you only the top shell was removed.I just wasn't in the mood to dispute bill. Will never return and suggest you don't waste your time or money.

I had the crab cake and two sides. I ordered on a Saturday night around 7pm (sharing in case the chefs change or maybe the time of day the food is out or sits may effect the taste) the crab cakes equaled to 10oz for $22 which was fair but not when I tasted it. The crab cakes tasted like they were stuffed with filler, un-fresh and the sides were plain and cool temp, I only live down the road so I was there as soon as they said my food would be done. Not going back

I usually go here a few times a year with family to enjoy crabs and sides. Prices are reasonable for food but are a little elevated for craft beer and cocktails. There are happy hour specials. Crabs are available year round. Service can be a bit slow and refills can take a while to get... also emptying out the crab shell bucket can take a while, too. However the food is always delicious and I look forward to my next visit!
