Throughout the process of wedding planning- from the initial phone call through the day of- I continued to say, wow, I’m so glad we have Emily. She was incredibly organized throughout the planning process- remembering conversations I had forgotten we had, bringing up details and questions I wouldn’t have known to ask, and making sure every thing single detail was covered. She was prompt with every email return and phone call- like ridiculously so. We enjoyed the planning process. In her design element, Emily helped me articulate the overall vibe of the wedding to create a cohesive design that was exactly what I had imagined. She understood my ideas and then made suggestions that were always on point. There were no surprises on costs and when some rental items were too expensive she would find or buy alternatives that could create a similar look for less. To feel so confident in your coordinator walking into an potentially stressful day, is such a good feeling. I knew whatever unforeseen, out-of-our control issues that could come up would be dealt with swiftly and calmly and they were. It poured the morning of our day and we had planned on our walk through being outside. Without missing a beat, Emily had already timed the processional (in the rain) so we could practice in a different area. She’s also kind, grounded and easy to be with which makes her that much more incredible. She blew away our expectations for a designer and day-of- coordinator and did it with professionalism, ease, and a smile. Our day was perfect and everything we had imagined and hoped for and Emily was an enormous part in making that happen. We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend her highly enough.

I trusted her and she did not disappoint! We had a lovely elopement in a fantastic location with a lovely officiant and a very talented photographer.

Emily is great! Planning a wedding, even a small one like ours, so far away from where you live can be so stressful and difficult but Emily was such a calm, collected resource through everything. Whether it be before hand in giving reception recommendations to helping come up with solutions when we procrastinated and thought we wouldn’t have the groom’s birth certificate, which is required in Wisconsin. Right through the day of when she makes sure everything is running on time and making sure the groom actually is getting dressed when he is supposed to. We were thrilled with how our tiny intimate ceremony went. All of our guests had a wonderful time in Bayfield and fell in love with the area just as we had. Emily has the vision to make both large, small, and elopement weddings a beautiful reality. She does so much to make sure the day is as stress free as possible, which is worth every cent.

Emily, did an amazing job planning our international destination elopement. She handled everything (flowers, photographer, ceremony script, etc…) even things I did not think of. She was in communication throughout the planning process and checked in often to ask if we needed help with anything. She was always quick to respond to our emails and answered any questions we had. She was even flexible and understanding when it looked like our original location for our ceremony wasn’t going to work out, she took extra time to scout additional locations and helped put my mind at ease. Emily was fantastic from start to finish. She called me back right away from the initial call. Emily is terrific with answering an assortment of questions when you need advice or are confused on what to do. Planning a wedding can be difficult and stressful when you have never done it before, and Emily makes the process so much easier. Emily always answered my emails very quickly, had helpful suggestions, and thought of things I wouldn't have. I thought I was sending too many emails or asking dumb questions and Emily never made you feel that way. I initially called Emily because I was struggling with my timeline and becoming stressed. I don't think I would have been able to finalize a timeline that made since without her. Emily is very professional and makes you feel completely at ease the day of! She is certainly worth the money to make your day go smooth and worry free, which is how it should be! My day couldn't have been more perfect and a lot of that credit goes to Emily.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Working with Emily was a breeze. She maintains a thorough schedule and she's very detailed in all her book keeping. As soon as we felt the wedding planning was slipping away from us and things were getting dropped, Emily was there to back us up and had everything in order. Her day-of execution was top-notch. Our wedding had plenty of variables and lots of things to juggle, and every single one of the items was handled on our day. If we had to do it all over again there's not a single element we would've changed because all of our decisions were vetted through her. Our wedding was in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the reception at Turner Hall Ballroom.

We recently used Lace and Brass Events for our elopement/intimate ceremony. We had been considering elopement, and found LBE online. We were thrilled to see they did elopements on Madeline Island, as this is a very special place to us both. We were also happy to see it was possible to invite a few close friends and family to share the day with. After an initial phone interview with Emily, we knew this was the route we were going to go to tie the knot. From that initial conversation, things only got more exciting, and time and time again our expectations were exceeded. Emily took all of the stress out of planning a wedding, yet the product was still exactly how we imagined it, and it felt like “us”— not a cookie cutter elopement package. We also rented the arch, and I sent her a picture of how we imagined it would look, and she made it happen. The day was smooth, the flowers were beautiful, the cake and champagne were delicious, our photos by Kellie Rae Studio still make us tear up and relive the day all over again, and Emily was a pleasure to work with. We cannot say enough good things about Emily and Lace and Brass Events. We are forever grateful for how perfect they made our special day!

We used Emily of Lace and Brass events for our small Madeline Island ceremony. It was always a dream of mine to do something small on Madeline Island as it is a special place to me/us. But, trust me it would never have happened with Emily and her expertise, A LOT of planning is needed to pull of a wedding on an island and she helped us coordinate every little detail making the day run seamlessly! Emily at Lace and Brass Events is the only reason our wedding came together even more beautifully than what we could’ve imagined. From the first phone call, and throughout the countless emails I’d sent her, she was so knowledgeable, helpful, professional, timely, and super friendly! She was exactly what I needed as far as wedding planning. Instead of being overwhelmed by choosing vendors and researching pricing (especially for a wedding that was 6 hours away from where we live), Emily got a good vibe of our personalities after meeting us once and paired us with local vendors that would be a good fit for our style. The quality and professionalism of every vendor she booked for us was amazing. Everyone from the photographer, baker, florist, and caterer went above and beyond for us. They had all worked with Emily as well and raved about the beautiful work that she does. The package that she offered gave us so much value and took so much stress off our shoulders, I can’t imagine having done this alone. Emily was the glue during this whole process that kept everything together from picking the venue to executing the day of (and all of the road bumps in between). I can’t thank you enough for making our wedding even better than what we’d dreamt.

Emily and her assistant, Chelsea were simply amazing. Just when I thought I had included her in every aspect of our wedding another thing would pop up (in the middle of the night, of course) and I would send her a message. Her response was always, "No problem!". The day of the event I did not even need to show up. She had everything handled from flower arrangements to the bathroom kits. At the end of the night, they boxed everything up for easy removal at the venue the next day. They were both extremely patient with me. If you are looking for a "take charge" wedding planner you can't go wrong with them! :)

I always wanted a destination wedding for awhile. Our original plan was to head to the state of Alaska however after my wedding, I'm glad I went with Emily. I filled out the contact information on Emily's website and she instantly reached out to set up a time to call and speak to me over the phone. We had originally planned a very small elopement in a wooded location with just myself, the groom and his daughter. What ended up happening was a small wedding ceremony of 14 guest of our immediate family under a willow tree right on Lake Superior. The day was absolutely gorgeous, everything fell into play and went very smoothly. The package I had chose did not include the food or wedding cake but Emily gave me a list of local restaurants and bakeries in the area to choose from. After the ceremony, everybody ended up at Good Thyme Restaurant and Harbor House Sweets delivered the wedding cake. I could not have asked for a better day. I wish I could go back and do all it again, that was the best wedding decision I have made!! :)

She did an amazing job putting our minds at ease for our wedding day. Our day was even more beautiful than we could have ever dreamed. I shot a wedding that Emily coordinated and it was one of the most organized weddings I have ever been a part of! She was kind and very prompt with her responses throughout the planning process and always kept me and the other vendors in the loop. The couple kept saying how grateful they were to have her taking care of everything so they could just show up and enjoy their day. All of the decorations she put together were stunning and created an amazing vibe throughout the wedding that really suited the couple and their personalities. I'd recommend her to anyone. I didn't have a coordinator when I got married, and I really regret it. Emily would have been a great addition to our wedding! Whether you're eloping, having an intimate celebration or a big bash, Emily knows her stuff and can give you the day you're envisioning without any stress or headaches.

I really enjoyed working with Emily Jeffress from Lace and Brass for my elopement. I live three hours away and I am a full-time student who also works full time. When my husband and I finally got engaged we were beyond excited. We wanted to get married as fast as possible. We both knew we wanted something small and something surrounded by nature. Although we made the mistake of announcing our engagement we were extremely satisfied with how everything played out. Emily did a fantastic job supporting me over the short four months we had. Her emails always provided me with adequate information and were very precise. I never could have pulled this off by myself. She worked with all the vendors, from the floral shop, to the cake shop, the live music, the photographer and whomever else I may have missed. She did an amazing job. I gave her a few items such as my cake topper, my unity piece and some small decorations and she set them all up perfectly. But what really amazed me is when she saved my day by making a homemade 7' tall cross for me the week of my wedding. I thought I had that part taken care of on my own and it fell through at the last minute. She knew how important it was to me and out of the kindness of her own her she made sure I had one. I cannot thank this girl or recommend her enough to express my gratitude for everything she did for us. It was quite the adventure and I know I couldn't have done it without her. The day of my wedding she was so prepared and organized. She even had water for me when I said I was thirsty during photos!
