It is unlikely to pass their driving test without taking class from them. I passed my test from DMV within two weeks of failing in their test. And because of my schedule I didn't even get a chance to practice during those two weeks. The examiner’s verbal evaluation and the mark sheet was a total mismatch. I do regret wasting so much money on this.

They are really helpful and professional. They have some techniques which make driving so simple and fun! I was know nothing about driving. They wouldn't be mad for my mistake but show patience and kindness. Thank to them I got my driver license in a month and I only driving with them about total 14hours!! 14hours!!! For a driving noob to get a driver license. If I had more free time it would be faster. Anyway I Can't to tell how much time I need to get my license without them.

Andrew was extremely unprofessional. He made me feel uncomfortable; he made inappropriate comments and remarks and he came on to me. I can only imagine how parents who hire this man to be alone in a car with their vulnerable child would feel to know that is how he treated a young woman. I had many lessons scheduled in advance but had to cancel which is a bummer because I was really looking forward to a local, private instructor. I would never recommend anyone to NW Drivers Ed. **EDIT** 3/34/2016 (3 mo. post review) - I saw the response (below) to my review for the first time today, and I am alarmed at what I read. I originally wrote my first review many months ago, but was surprised and frustrated to find later that it was deleted – so about three months ago I wrote the same review again. In addition, I never saw the response that was allegedly left on that original review before it got deleted. Mysterious. Then, I got the response below: "Ms. Yoon, We have reviewed your comments from many months ago. While we invite you to delete your post, we must ask you to refrain from continuing to edit and otherwise post inaccurate comments about our company and instructor. Whenever we encounter an individual who is displeased we cannot accommodate a request for a female instructor for custom adult lessons they are informed that the local college offers female instructors and can arrange one-on-one lessons. When such individuals have insisted on choosing our company for their adult lessons because we offer pickup service, in the past we had provided the services. Learning from this experience we now reserve the right to deny solo lessons (i.e. require observers), to record lessons, and to deny services to persons whenever we are unable to accommodate their needs or preferences. More often, when an individual needs or prefers a female instructor and one is not available they choose another service. *****SUMMARY OF OUR PREVIOUS RESPONSE***** Thank you for your past support and constructive feedback. (1) We are sorry you were not satisfied with our services. (2) Instructors are background checked and cars equipped with cameras. (3) We no longer arrange in-person meetings to discuss participation in our collaboration projects. Enrollment in our translation projects is now done through our website." I was disappointed that the owner never made an attempt to make amends for my dissatisfaction; he simply deleted my review and then claimed to have left a response to it months ago. I didn’t think that owners could delete negative reviews, but my review (and his response) was nowhere to be found –plus, I don’t have the option to leave more than one review. I have never edited my review or posted inaccurate information about the instructor. I felt compelled to share my experiences to advise other perspective clients that are younger, and more vulnerable than I. I originally wasn't going to write a negative review, as I did not want to hurt someone else's business and livelihood. However, because Andrew never showed any remorse for how he behaved and didn’t appear to be unaware of his inappropriate, unprofessional behavior, I needed to make it known to others because of the potential for this happening to someone else. Had I known that was the experience that I was going to have, I would not have paid money for private tutoring with Andrew Decker. I was never informed about one-on-one lessons offered by female instructors at the local college. This was never a topic of discussion, because there would be no reason to bring up the gender of the instructor when I never had a preference, as I never foresaw anything like this happening. It is infuriating that my review and experiences are made out to be fabricated and that I received information that I in fact, never received. This makes my experiences with NW Drivers Ed substantially worse than it already was. I definitely would never recommend any business with Andrew Decker based on these negative experiences and the revelation of his character as a business man and human being.

Coming from a left-hand traffic country, I have been driving for 4-5 years back home before coming to Corvallis. As my international driving permit expires in a year time, I have to get my OREGON driving license. After failing my first attempt at drive test,I realised there are some fine differences, compared to my home country, so I wanted to get proper instruction and understanding of the driving culture here in Oregon. Then, I stumbled upon NW Drivers Ed and went for 2 sessions of 1-hour by Andrew. During these 2 sessions, I was very impressed by the knowledge and instruction from Andrew. He was open, friendly and approachable. He freely pointed out mistakes and clarified proper behaviour. It was a much-needed refresher and timely assessment for the drive test. With that, I managed to pass the drive test on my second attempt! So, for international students in need of driving instruction or others, I would highly recommend Andrew from NW Drivers Ed. He's a great instructor! Thanks Andrew! Glad that I found you!

My instructor at the Corvallis nw drivers ed was more focused on his phone at the beginning of the test than my driving. I was docked points for things that were due to road conditions and my scoring was completely unfair. I do not recommend nw drivers ed at all

I avoided driving for many years because of anxiety after having been in several accidents... I had also failed the test twice before getting lessons. He was very patient with me and my anxiety and I was able to use the driver's ed car for my test. Now, I finally have my license :)

Andrew is a really good instructor! I took the driving practice with him for 2 weeks (2x 2 hour package & 3 hour package), and I passed the driving test in Salem with flying colors. I enjoyed practicing my driving skills with him, and he pointed our mistakes, and corrected them with patient. ***UPDATE: went to different company in Eugene, took the test exactly the same way, and got a score of 91. Instructor even told me it was a pleasure to have someone competent on the road and ready with their paperwork. Lost time and money to these guys, NOT recommended.*** Make sure you REALLY exaggerate your head and eye movements, I would suggest not wearing sunglasses. The instructor was nice enough but didn’t pay much attention to where I was looking and failed me for not turning my head whenever I turned right (as if I’ve been driving a decade and only look left when on the road. No, I just knew you were sitting on my right side and didn’t make a point to exaggerate my movements). They have their policies and that’s their prerogative, but it’s a good warning for those taking the test. I’m curious how many people pass on their first attempt and how many are asked to ‘come back in seven days pay the full $60 fee and retest again’. After all 16 year old kids wouldn’t have any idea if they’re being marked down fairly or unfairly. Much faster than the DMV even if you have to take it twice, but as a newlywed who just moved to the area I can’t afford to play the game.
