I have an Autistic son, who didn't feel his issues were allergies. When you can't find answers in your area, you have to travel. He was angry about being there., however, they worked hard explaining things to him. They spent time with him, not a revolving door like so many other places. When medical director came in to explain thinks more to him, and told him this wasn't allergies. The look on my sons face, they validated him. They referred him to ENT in office and worked it out that he was seen that day so we would not have to travel back. Very kind to him. I appreciate the conversation, and all the help.

Dr. Gerenser was the greatest! The staff in the Albuquerque office were very professional and attentive. I had previously had surgery for a deviated septum with a lousy Doctor three years ago. During that time, I waited and waited for results after my surgery, to no avail! I felt so relieved and confident when I had my first appointment with Dr. Gerenser. I feel 90% better and my breathing is awesome once again. I very highly recommend BreathAmerica in the Albuquerque area.

What a SCAM! Stay Away! Breathe America cares more about profits than patients' well being. They slipped in a fine-print form on my wife for an asthma/ respiratory test that is considered experimental and insurance won't pay for it. The form states it may not be covered by insurance; they don't even submit it to insurance companies and bill directly to the patient. There is also high turnover of clinical staff, which says VOLUMES!!! We won't be returning.

Dr Gerencer may be good at what he does but I was highly insulted when he told his assistant to write down nose spray instructions because "hes hard of hearing and I'm tired of yelling" this was in a ten by ten room where he continued talking to me with his back to me almost the whole 5 minute visit. . The whole visit he appeared like I was wasting his time.

This place is awesome! I have been doing much better and I am off my inhaler and other medication that was causeing horrible side affects! The Nurses in the shot clinic are exceptional! they are always so nice, and they take the time to answer any questions you may have. I am so grateful for kind, caring nurses that really make a difference in the lives of others, nurses are angels.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible!! It is near impossible to get a phone call thought to even just make an appointment and it is IMPOSIBLE To get a call back from them regarding anything. Each time we call we are put on hold and We wait on hold for and average or 10-20 min each time we call. They have hung up on us several times. Wait times for appointments are between 30 to 40 min. I would not recomend this place to anyone.

Took them about two hours to get me back to have my appointment (2 hours after when it was scheduled). Other people who had showed up later than me got in sooner. They told me to go to a tricore to get lab work done, didn’t tell me when I should go or any way to verify if their request got approved, told me I could just walk into any tricore and show my ID and they’ll find me in the system then do the lab work. About two weeks after the appointment, I went to a tricore (soonest I could, was in a remote area for awhile) and they couldn’t find me in the system and said that since it was my first time, I needed some sort of referral, which breathamerica did not print for me. Now I have to wait for who knows how long in order for ba to fax the info to tricore.

So kind and professional...I'm not so confident about the CNP and MD'S assessment....I will try what they suggested...I just don't believe my breathing issue has anything to do with gerd......still can't breathe tonight...still coughing

My appointment was at 1145, got here at 1130 and have been waiting for almost an hour. Seven people have gotten here after me and were called within ten minutes of being checked in. Plus the receptionists gossiped about patients the whole time. I had my sinus surgery from one of the ENTs 3 years ago, and still can't feel a difference. Don't waste your time or money.

This place is beyond horrible. Worst service ever. I am beyond mad.I left paying a specialist co-pay just to be told to take over the counter meds. They never explained to me why an allergy test wasn't done till I hounded them. I have still been hounding because I keep breaking out and can't take the test unless I'm off antihistamines, which I have been unable to do. They told me there was a shot to help but had 2 be approved by insurance. 3 months later and after leaving several messages with no call back they tell me I have to have a follow up 1st to see if the otc meds are working (why wasnt I told that 3 months ago) So I have to pay another copay to say it's not working then another copay for the shot then another copay for the test to see what I'm allergic to. I'm sure I'll get billed even more after the copay beacause I always do. NEVER NEVER NEVER GO HERE!!!!

I would not recomend this place to any one i know. I wouldn't recomend this to anyone i don't know. Good luck trying to call for appt or a refill or anything. Sat on hold for twenty minutes. Wgile having my two daughters try to call. One got put on hold and the other, they hung up on. And after still holding for 20 mins. They decide to just hang up on me. Very bad and unprofessional front desk help. Worst I've ever experienced and thats having 3 kids doctors appt all the time.

Had a appointment today at 10am. Got a call at 945am as I'm pulling up for my appointment. They were calling to inform me that they made a mistake in scheduling, and the Dr. Wasn't going to be available! I live an hour away and had to take off the day from work, and they felt that calling me 15 minutes before my appointment was acceptable!!! I spoke with office scheduling manager and she was very very rude, and acted as if it was not a big deal and even had the audacity to tell me "why did u take the whole day off"!!! Waste of a day, waste of time and money!!! Would not recommend!!!

Getting a shot is uncomfortable, but the staff at the shot clinic are always smiling and kind. Ashley and Christine are quick to laugh at my terrible jokes. The staff always offer creme or ice - anything to make you more comfortable. They are always sweet and patient as if you are the only person in the world. Shot clinic is the best!

I had to transfer my active prescriptions (6 refills left!) to a different pharmacy because of insurance change. The office ignored requests from the new pharmacy and ignored all 7 messages I left for the nurse. So I had to make an appt and go in. The physicians assistant I saw last time was gone so they made me pay for a visit to establish with a new one. Come to think of it, the one I saw before him left pretty quickly too - it is a revolving door of physician assistants. So they charged $225 to transfer active prescriptions from one pharmacy to another one. And they only transferred one. They forgot to call in refills for my rescue inhaler so I suppose it is another $225 to take care of the second one. Ridiculous!!!!! They are GRIFTERS!

Updating my review: I received a call from the administrative staff from this location regarding the review I posted. I think it takes a very attentive administrator to see a problem, and make at least an attempt to rectify the issue. It is easy to ignore problems and hope they address themselves, I am hoping that instead this is seen as constructive criticism and room for growth - we can all improve. I am charging my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because I am impressed that the issue was acknowledged and being worked on. Original review below - I’ve been coming here for three years because of bad allergies. The doctors and techs are always friendly and helpful, and I have been keeping my allergies under control for those three years thanks to their help. However, scheduling here is a complete nightmare, you can’t get ahold of anyone ever, and if you do leave a message you better hope they call you back at a time you can answer, otherwise you’ll never get ahold of them again. In addition to that, the front desk staff have always been snotty and unprofessional, and the wait times from when your appointment I scheduled to when you are seen are ridiculous (easily over 30 minutes). I think after this last visit, I am going somewhere else.

My son with asthma has had his doctors switched 4 times in the last year due to their horrible attrition rate. In addition we have had to go to the physical location 3 times to getghis inhaler filled since they refuse to communicate with Walgreens.

Couldn't get ahold of anyone ended up late for appointment because of directions. I never received paperwork from office and once signed in I had to check back in 30 minutes later because nobody noticed I checked in. Had two little children with me and they threw a fit about me sitting in the waiting room whole my 17.5 year old son got tested. 2-3 hours to be tested in a tiny room two chairs and little girls. I'm very offended and upset that this is the only clinic that has given difficulty for a parent waiting in a WAITING ROOM.

They are very hard to get ahold of and they didn't send my daughter lab paper work to tricore.tricore called them there self and they were very very rude to the lady and also very rude to myself and her dad.they said I needed to wait longer I have Waited 2 weeks for it to be sent. The staff is so unprofessional here. My son and I always arrive 15-20mins early, yet never get the paper work until a minute before we are called back. The girls at the front desk just sit there socializing instead of doing their jobs efficiently. Then I end up getting attitude from the nurses because the paperwork isn't finished! Also, expect to wait well over an hour to see the doctor.

I've been coming here for over 6 years and each year for my annual visit, I have to see someone new because the last person has left. The shot clinic has a couple of ladies who are really gentle but most repeatedly give the shots into the muscle! Wait times are ridiculous for the shot clinic and appointments- be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. The location is convenient but I'm going to be searching for a new provider.

Had sinus surgery with Dr. Gerencer. It was all he said it would be. He was professional, courteous and well-practiced. All the staff are polite, helpful and welcoming. They even handle quirks or challenges in care in a fair manner.

The office is huge very clean and organized. I came here to discuss allergy shots. They did a very thorough evaluation with skin testing and explained everything to me in detail. The PA Rachael was extremely knowledgable about allergic conditions and i was impressed with her. She is very easy to talk to. Dr wachts is great too awesome bedside manner and very smart. There were a lot of children there and o noticed how delicate the staff was with them. I go to the shot clinic now and the nurses there always remember me by name and are very sweet to me. They accomodate my busy schedule and i am overall very impressed with the structure and organization of this place. I hope the shots work!

Terrible office where appointments are always late and no one will pick up the phone when you try to call them. Dr. Gerencer has lousy bedside manner where he hardly explains anything and after waiting a long time to see him, he's out of there in a hurry.

Providers do not really stick around therefore you need to start out at square one with every couple of visits. On the ENT side, if you need a referral then I wouldn't bother, they either submit them with not enough information therefore there denied, and you don't know for months until you call to confirm, or they don't submit them at all. Breathe America used to be a really competent place to go, but now they are the complete opposite. Find another place.

Each time I have been seen, they were professional, courteous, and answered all of my questions. Dr. Gerencer is an awesome doctor, and he cares about his patients! From my very first visit, to scheduling a must needed surgery was less than a month, which to me is outstanding! I am still having some issues with my sinuses, however the majority has been fixed!

Christina has proven to me, as well as others I have dealt with when scheduling, that customer service is taken seriously at this office. I truly appreciate the office and the staff and techs, and the doctor for getting my son in in a timely manner. We have finally found a place we can count on. That speaks volumes and is much appreciated.

Went in with my grandmother for her allergies and will not be going back. The medical assistants were super nice but obviously short staffed causing the wait to be extremely long. The staff looked overworked and unhappy. My confidence in the overall visit was low as it seems like the clinic is not prepared for emergency situations that can arise.

I have never had better care at a clinic!! Very professional and comfortable! The whole staff, down to the techs who actually did my testing were nothing short of amazing. As you know allergy testing is very uncomfortable and every single person went out of their way to make the experience as easy as possible! Extra shout out to MaryEllen!! She was kind, professional, not to mention trendy! More importantly took the time to explain everything! Which I feel like can be rare with doctors now a days.. Long story short, Had a deviated septum surgey little over a year ago at a office in Rio Rancho . I went to the wrong g place and just thought my breathing was better. Went to breathe America had it done right and can't explain how thankful I am and how much better my breathing is. Trust me I have been arround and this office is the best.

I am abundantly impressed with Dr Wachs and his CNP, Mary Ellen. For a year we have collected symptoms and labs trying to determine what was affecting my 1 year old. When I reached out to Dr Wachs at BreatheAmerica, I was extremely pleased to find he was willing to communicate ahead of the appointment with us to ensure it was a good match and both he and CNP, Mary Ellen, reviewed all of our symptoms and labs in detail before we arrived. Within a few minutes at the appointment, we had a diagnosis we had an impossible time getting without invasive labs other doctors wanted to perform. Dr Wachs is highly knowledgeable, but humble and approachable in his interactions. What impresses me most as a mom is when doctors truly listen and give you the benefit of the doubt on reactions you KNOW your child is having and also when they consider research you have done. I got all the time I needed to ask every question without feeling rushed. I also applaud their willingness to reach out to other doctors out of state since the syndrome my daughter has is rare and complicated. I am SO PLEASED we made the decision to see Dr Wachs and his team. ~ Happy Mom of baby

The up side: The doctors and nurses are so great, very kind and helpful, answer all your questions. They make you feel heard and cared for. Dr. Gerencer is very kind and patient and will get you the help you need. The down side: the front desk is under staffed so can be frustrating to check in and the woman with the accent is always very short and rude and has no time for anyone. Sometimes the doctors run behind so you may not get in till long after your appointment time (Ive waited over 45 mins twice) BUT I still give 5 stars because I'd wait several hours to be seen here because they actually care and listen to you and figure out what's going on instead of just trying to do the simplest thing to get you out the door! All in all, a great place I would recommend to anyone.

I have been going to breathe America for about 5 years now because of their ENT Dr. If not for Dr G I would have found a different place to treat my allergies and Asthma. The turnaround for all other docs has been huge. I see a new doctor every visit which is less than ideal
