We have been using Dr Whitfield for three years now. Every time we come for an appointment we are called back either early, or on time. I love that we never have a long wait (I’m sure my kids wouldn’t mind waiting with all of the fun games in the waiting room though). His hygienists are very friendly, and great with kids. I love that there are TVs on the ceiling to hold my kid’s attention during the cleaning and exam. Dr Whitfield is great with my kids also. He has a great personality for working with children! Can’t say enough positive things about this practice.

Wonderful experience. The clinic is fun and tailored to children. The visit was quick but yet I didn’t feel rushed. Everyone smiled and was nice. The dentist and hygienist addressed everyone in the room with a handshake and eye contact. Kids were also respected and addressed by name. I was given many opportunities to ask questions and all my questions were answered. The dentist provided positive feedback in multiple ways that made my 3 year old end the experience saying he loved the dentist which was not our experience previously. My 3 year old child and 17 month old were both able to get through everything with no crying or issues. Wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone with children of all ages.

We love this dentist office and all of the staff. Dr Eckroat is fantastic. Excellent chair-side manner. He's great with kids even when the kids are acting up. The whole place is vibrant and clean. They have quite a nice selection of electronic games for the kids to play as well. The kids can watch TV as well while they get a cleaning. There's lots to do and we love it. They truly care about you. Highly recommend!!

The staff at Edmond Pediatric & Teen Dentistry is always great but today their kindness meant even more. Bringing a toddler sibling to the patient’s appointment is never ideal and Dr. Eckroat and his staff recognized the difficult situation. They brought over a box of toys for my maniac 18 month old to play with and also sped our process up so we could high-tail it out of there for our sake (and honestly, the benefit of everyone else there). Earlier today I was treated badly at a haircut for my oldest child for the same issue and it was just so nice to be treated with understanding rather than disdain. Thank you so much from this mom of busy boys!

We we referred to Dr. Eckroat years ago and have been taking our three boys there for years. We love the entire team there!!! My middle son was terrified to go to the dentist for his first visit. However, as soon as we arrived, he completely changed his mind! He was smiling and honestly didn’t want to leave when we were finished. He has had silver crowns, and Dr. Eckroat and the staff were wonderful during that process, as it was a bit scary for my husband and I. Additionally, my nephew now lives with us and had a bad experience with a dentist in the past. He was VERY anxious about going for his first visit. Before long after arriving, he was calm and he wasn’t nervous or scared at all! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Edmond Pediatric and Teen Dentistry is for our family! This was my (almost) 2 year old’s first dentist appointment and they made it very easy for me and my toddler. I waited about 5-10 minutes in the lobby and about 5 minutes for the dentist. There were plenty of distractions in the lobby and exam room to keep my child occupied and comfortable. From the receptionist to the dentist and checkout, everything was seamless and easy. The hygienist and dentist were thorough, educated me on proper pediatric dental care, friendly, gentle, patient and took their time during the appointment to answer my questions and make sure my toddler’s teeth looked healthy. Highly recommend this office.

This is our favorite place to go! The staff is always so kind and fun to be around. The kids are always really excited to hear when they have appointments scheduled. We are about to move to Tulsa, and we are more than likely going to continue the kids dental care here because of the level of service. Above chair cartoons, iPads in every exam room for games while they wait, games in the lobby, the amazing prize wall... our kids love every second they're in the dentist. I was so excited to bring my daughter here. She has anxiety when it comes to dentist so we were referred here and I had high hopes. The receptionist were so kind and helpful. The dental assistant that worked with us was very sweet and made sure my daughter was comfortable and felt safe. The dentist that saw her said she needed crowns on all her molars as a preventive measure. I called my daughters normal dentist and he told me the crowns were absolutely not needed. And if she ever needed anything on those teeth in the future (as they aren’t damaged in any way) they wouldn’t be crowns. I called back and Nicole talked to me and I asked if there was a way we could just do the two teeth I know needed attention and come back and do those when needed. And Nicole said, that if I didn’t agree to doing the crowns then they would NOT do anything to even treat the ones that needed attention. She kept telling me it was against the law to not do the work all at one time. Well It’s not against the law and I read the Rules and Regulations Board Of Dentistry State Of Oklahoma that evening and it does not state anywhere in there that it’s against the law. I called back to cancel the appointment because I didn’t see the need to keep it and put my daughter through unnecessary work. And when I called to cancel they got offensive and rude on the phone and demanding that I tell them our current dentists name and office location. And even though they have that all on record, I went ahead and told her again but I said I don’t know his name. And she got a nasty attitude and said “you don’t know your daughter dentist name” and honestly all apologies it’s a different name and I can’t pronounce but like I said it’s on her records there. Because xrays were all sent from them. So based on their so called “Laws” they practice. If you’re not okay with a company taking away your parental rights, and you’re not okay with them doing unnecessary and potentially more harm to your kids. DO NOT GO HERE.

Seriously the best place. I grew up with extreme dentist anxiety so when it came time to start bringing my own child to the dentist i did so much research and read reviews endlessly. The common denominator was ALWAYS EP&TD. Every single employee from the ladies that check us in, the dental assistants and of course the dentist themselves go above and beyond making sure my daughter is comfortable and keeping me informed. Definitely recommend to everyone

We have seen Edmond Pediatric and Teen Dentistry grow from a small place into a larger and much more relaxing space. They make the decor very kid friendly and well lit and colorful to help ease any nervous child (or parent). They have video games, prizes, and even an iPad in the dental chair area. My kids love Dr. Whitfield and are lucky to have been a part of this dental family for years!!

Absolutely, hands down the best dentist office to go to! We travel 5 hours one way just to come here. The dentist is honest, and doesn't tell you that your kids need something they don't need. The hygienist are the best too!! We have a large family, so we see 4 different hygienist in 1 visit. Great place all the way around. They have taken care of our children for 5 years now. Thank you!

My child and I enjoyed being in this facility. The staff was very nice with dealing with my son (he is ADHD) they did not let his hyperactive self get in the way of them taking care of him. This place is so neat and clean. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs their assistance.

I absolutely love this office. The facility itself is amazing for kids. The staff is super friendly and all the dental assistants are so sweet to the my kids. The dentists are actually great and there is lots to keep the kids busy. However, we have been going for 3.5 years and not once have we gotten a correct bill. They are out of network for Aetna but I have a PPO that covers out of network. They bill me before they know what the insurance company is paying them, and tell me they can't change. It is systemic and they are unwilling to wait to bill me until they know the correct bill amount. I overpay them most times then end up getting a refund check. This time I wasted a whole lot of time calling Aetna and Edmond Pediatric and Teen Dentistry trying to fix this for the future with no help from this business. We are leaving this practice as they are uninterested in sending out correct bills (or as the billing manager stated, are incapable of changing their system).

When you take your kids to the dentist for the first time ever, you expect the worst.. the screaming and crying, the fear of what will happen.. let me tell you, that NONE of that happened! The staff at the front desk was so sweet and got smiles from the girls as soon as we walked in. They were able to play and not be in the way of any of the other patients because of how their waiting area is set up. Check in was quick and easy on one of their many computers set up. Kia came to get us and walked us to a room where there were a few toys to play with. She each of the girls in the chair and explained everything she was doing as she did it as to not overwhelm them. They did great. Dr. Eaton was great and answered all the questions we had and had the girls smiling as we walked out. It's not often you and your kids can say that you cant wait to go back to the dentist and that's what happened when we got back out to the parking lot.
