This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Cafe.
A local recommended this shop. The beignets were very good. We got one order for two and it was plenty. The shop is itself it's worth the visit. Loved the decor and ambiance with live performers. Would definitely come back when in town.
This was better in my opinion than the famed Cafe du monde. Would definitely recommend
Sugar, strong coffee and love music. Hopefully there's a breeze also! Come here over Cafe Du Monde folks.
Love this place! Cozy and cute! Food amazing!! They have thee BEST BEIGNET IN NEW ORLEANS!!
I love it here. Thw atmosphere...thw music...the beignets....All Awasome
Nice place to get off your feet and have a tall cool one!!
Buena pasteleria tipica. Muchiiisima clientela.
Got my fresh beignets
Great place to go and have a beignet and sit down very nice ambience. The service was excellent and with a smile. Definitely recommend walking to this location as there was no line and the turnover was pretty good with stuff. lot of choices on the menu to use and condiments are just to the left of the payment check out.
The best beignet!!! Food was delicious!! Although, they do need to work on the seating...seating is very tight and limited considering how long the line gets
Everything was good but the beignets are better at Cafe Du Monde
Good food, good atmosphere, but rude service
Parfait, et conviviale
Waited an hour for 2 orders of beignets. Asked a server to check on our order. He told us we were just 2 orders back. Waited another 30 minutes. Overheard that same server tell others they were only two back as well. Asked for a refund and they couldn't even find the order, which means the server didn't even check. Manager threw cash back at me, some of which fell to the ground. No apology, no attempt to correct their mistake. Should have gone to Cafe du Monde instead.
A very chill place to find calm and peace. A beautiful place and a very good music.
Awesome, live jazz cozy and exactly what I was looking for after trying an overcrowded cafe du mond
Awesome, Excellent, Great.....
Better beignets than Cafe Du Monde!
Delicious beingets! The atmosphere was lovely and the shop was adorable.
It is a good place to have breakfast
My favorite got in at 9:00 served our beignets all was good!
Always very busy place but worth the wait!!!!
Nothing to say bit get your butt here, amazing.
Great place, if there's a line it's worth the wait.
Very good. Price are reasonable. Plenty of seating.they take credit cards.
Terrible servers
The beignet was good (as good as fried dough with powdered sugar can be) and inexpensive. But beware your place in the queue after ordering and getting your number. Every time someone complained they were waiting too long, they were served next even if it skipped others.
Great beignets, fast friendly service
Beignets were just as good as Cafe du monde without the long wait.
I preferred the beignets and line at this place over Cafe du Mondes. That's the only reason I eneded up here tbh but I loved the food here. The beignets were powdery, stretchy and just the right size. You get 3 to a plate and lots of spots to sit down. The staff is very friendly. You are walking right up to the counter when you order.
Love this location. Atmosphere with the piano and the view are awesome! The beignets are delicious!
Yummy!
Beautifully decorated cafe, open area, and delicious beignets.
Good beignets, no air conditioning
If the line is long at Cafe du Monde (or even if it isn't) this place is a good bet. Atmosphere is very nice, including a full bar and a player piano. Food is amazing including the beignets and coffee.
Awesome
It was much quicker than Cafe du Monde but it wasn't anything to write home about. Just a check off the list: beignet and chicory coffee
Yummy
Great Beignets!
Fast service nice people
The location is great and the views are really cool. The food is great - they are currently in the process of updating their menu though, so there may be some surprises in your order :)
We stopped at Cafe Beignet for some mocha cafe au lait and mufaletta. Yum!!!!
So many people miss out on some really fresh food, more personable beignets and always uplifting atmosphere. You'll always get a smile.
Went in to get away from the rain. They had a musac piano performer. An ok place but would not make a point of going back
A sweet little spot!!
Best beignets
So so good cooks did great the food was on point but the services end was dropping the ball left and right. Besides the bad service the food was delicious I go again just for the food.
Great performance and delicious food
Not as good as cafe du mond plus pricer
The best place ....do not waste your time waiting in line elsewhere
OMG the beingets we're fabulous!
We really liked this place much more than Cafe du Monde. The service was friendly & the beignets tasted way more moist than the ones we got at Cafe du Monde. For the service, quality & price, I'd recommend Cafe Beignet.
Very good Beignets
Best beignets in town. Ignore cafe du monde and its tourism hype. Cafe Beignets are better, fluffier and tastier. Lines go down quickly and they are worth the wait
So worth the 45min wait. Way better then the de monde place
Good food and beignets
I love these Beignets!! Better than the heavy Donut style at Cafe Du Monde
Really good with nice beignets, the muffins are good too
Love this place. In my opinion they have the best beignets in New Orleans. Great location for the sole watching.
Good food pleasant staff
Favorite Beignets in Nola.
It was packed but it was good and the bartender they had today is really nice
Awesome!!
The best beignet in New Orleans. Made fresh to order.
Bon. Très bon.
Great atmosphere fast service
Great place, but powder sugar is everywhere and sticky ;)
Nice place to grab a morning beignet.
Great live music, lots of seating and delicious treats
Awesome
Very good beignets and coffee. Dont bother to wait in the hour long line at cafe du mond, just come here for half the wait or less!!,
Good breakfast
Love
If I had to choose between skipping a meal and eating here again I would skip. This has to be the worst food and service I’ve had anywhere. It’s not worth it. When I approached the counter, the attendant said nothing and just stared. I asked if they were able to do a hot soy latte and she said yes. I paid. Then after she starts to tell me that they can’t steam the milk to make it hot. She tries to argue with me. We asked how they steam other milk and they said they just keep a hot pot of milk all day (not sanitary). I asked if she could do it iced and that was an issue too although unsure why. She yelled and argued from the other end of the counter and would yell she couldn’t hear me when I tried to ask questions to clarify but wouldn’t move closer to hear me. I eventually asked for a refund and got no apology; just a continuous attitude and argument even though I asked before ordering. I ordered the CAJUN breakfast which is eggs, potatoes, peppers, onions, and sausage. My order had NO sausage, and TWO tiny slivers of peppers. There was absolutely no Cajun or any seasoning at all. Horrendous customer service and food. Please don’t waste your time here when there is plenty of great food in Nola.
Awesome everybody go lol
Best Beignet than the traditional beignet I know. Best snack with hot choco or during tea time... or with coffee at breakfast!
Will go back definitely when I visit new Orleans again!
I went to Cafe Beignet because it was highly recommended. The food was great however, I was disappointed with the young lady taking my order. She seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Not sure if she was tired or what. Never said can I help you, no smile and after I ordered and ask for it to go she took my number stick and slammed it in front of me. Once again no have a nice day, come back again, nothing.
Don't believe the hype. If you've traveled & like desserts these beignets are nothing to brag about.
Beignets delicious and the cajun hashbrowns. Also ordered the caramel cafe au lait. All good. Decent price though beverages are pricey
Good beignets. Better than cafe dumond and cheaper.
Really great service. The beignets are just ok. Even though it'll be a longer wait I'd recommend cafe Du monde. If you're not picky and want quicker service this place is great..especially the coffee
So yummy! Great atmosphere and wonderful band!!!
I came by this place on accident after leaving Cafe Du Monde very irritated because of the terrible service. The guy behind the counter had no idea but he absolutely made my day with his pleasant and over the top service. The beignets were extremely good and the coffee was great too. My first time in NOLA and my very first beignet. Cafe Beignet saved the day and made my bad experience all better. Thank you Cafe Beignet!
I found the beignets to be a bit better than Café du Monde, they also offer a wide range of other normal breakfast fair.
Must stop and enjoy Hot fresh Beignets !!!
Coffee and especially the warm delicious beignets.
It's okay, I don't like how dirty it was because of all the powered sugar everywhere, Very sticky. $14 bucks gets you a very small coffee and 3 beignets.
Good food just a long wait. Great place to grab beignets because, even with the wait, it's still like half the time of Cafe du Monde.
Loved the Beignet and music
Forget Cafe Du Monde. Cafe Beignet is far better in my opinion. The staff is fantastic, the wait is short, and the beignets feel like eating pillows. They are so soft and fluffy. Plus you can have a lovely mimosa while eating the beignets.
This location is more spacial than the others, and at night, the view of the river is quite good besides some telephone lines that can get in the way. Great atmosphere!
Beignets was great
OMG BEST BEIGNETS I HAVE EVER EATEN!!! They are 100 times better than Cafe Du Monde's beignets. Cafe Beignet beignets are light, fluffy and with the right amount of powdered sugar on them. Please try them and skip the line at Cafe Du Monde's.
Favorite!
Yum beignets
The beignets were delicious
Okay, tbh at the beginning I was like, oh no just no because of the long lines and the absolutely crammed seating, but my friend wanted to go so we did. She and I split up, she taking care of the order and I holding a table. We ended up sitting by the stage and having fun with the musicians that were playing there, watching little sparrows fly in and out of the large open doors. Was it the best food or coffee or anything? Nah, not really, but it will go down as a very good memory of visiting the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. The beignets were worthy of their powdered sugar.
Amazing music and ambiance. Very clean overall great place to go especially as the sun is setting.
Absolutely a tourist trap! Stay away - did not want to eat a big dinner so thought a bowl of gumbo would be good. Spent 15.00 for an iced tea and a small styrofoam bowl of tepid soup that had some sausage and rice in it and did not resemble gumbo in any way shape or form. Oh there was also a piece of french bread. I didnt even eat it. When i complained i just got a blank stare. I would give it zero stars if i could.
The man who served me at the counter was very rude for no particular reason. Ruined the experience
Great beignets
Nice stop for music and coffee after touring the French Quarter area on foot. Great place to park
The beignets were great and big. The muffaletta was yummy and huge.
Great beignets!
Food is okay but cashiers there are rude and act like you're bothering them by ordering.
Looking for a place the serves BEIGNETS & then some... Well you've found it!!!! On the corner of Decatur & Toulouse, you'll find the place. Open bar & food other than BEIGNETS. I will admit the beignets taste different than the other famous place, but they are as tasty. Love the open cafe feel & the tables & bar seating. This place gets it right.
Great experience. Good food.
Delicious!!!
Great Beignet and coffee! Must try in early morning.
After so many recommendations to eat Beignet because, I was afraid of the repercussions of returning to my hometown without trying it in New Orleans. I finally had some Beignet here since the "local guides" seem to prefer this place over the other hype train called the Cafe du Monde. I guess I don't get the hype. It is fried dough. But I guess there are people who love this so I will leave it at that. I am just not into it as much as others I guess. However, I liked the ambience at this place. Little sparrows roaming freely inside the cafe, making this a "lively" place. I did get their hash browns as well, which was good. Overall, a nice place to stop by for a quick bite. That's about it.
Came here because Cafe Du Monde was packed and was glad we did! The beignets were good and well priced. Service was friendly!
Just as good as Cafe Du Monde..just not as busy or crowded. I stopped here to get my sweets before my flight.. love love
Good food good service
Sooooooo Yummy!
everything was fast and efficient despite the long line
Easily the best beignets in New Orleans, no matter what Cafe Du Monde will tell you. The lines may be crazy, depending on the time of day, but if you're just looking for a quick snack in the middle of the afternoon, you shouldn't have a problem. I will only eat at Cafe Beignet now when I have a hankering for a good NOLA powdered doughnut!
Service was great and the beignets were delicious although covered in a mountain of powered sugar!
The line was a bit long, but the staff was great!
Busy, clean and friendly staff. Great food.
Long lines for what seemed like deep fried bread with powdered sugar on it. Menu had much more but we had to have the beignet.
You Re in New Orleans, land of great food. Seriously, how could you get a bad meal. this place is very busy all day but quick enough even when you are hungry
Very tastey
Oh yeah! We choose this over the others, because the Uber driver who is originally from NOLA said we should and she was right! Yummie! Yum! Yum! For my tummie! This is our first stop on the block Of Decatur and what a great start to our adventures! Even the little birdies hang around waiting on some crumbs to fall off the tables! That’s how good it is.
Best beignets, better than cafe du mondeo by a long shot!
A New Orleans favorite!!!
Delicious Beignets!!! Cash only, not enough seats, 1st come 1st serve basis.
AMAZING
It was clean. I did not like the food.
Just as good as cafe du monde, and the line is always shorter
Busy but good. Food was good. Worth a try for sure
Just as good as Cafe du Monde!
This New Orleans visit and Gumbo are all my first time. Gumbo here was good. But the amount of meal looked somewhat small.
We ended up here when the line at Cafe DuMonde was a block long. I've never been to Cafe DuMonde, perhaps there's no substitute for the best? 2 Very good cafe au lates, one crawfish omelette and one sausage scramble with an order of beignets was $36. The food was not good. We DNF half way through. The beignet tasted like it was cooked in old oil and left a coating in your mouth. My parents had the gumbo and my mom's food was so bad I already forgot it. The gumbo was not seasoned well and was too wet. After this we decided to stick with the lesser known dives. Getting famous does bad things to your food. We also decided to cook more at our rental. It was only day two of our trip, I'm sure things will get better.
Awesome beignets! Dare I say, better than the other famous one down the street?!
Fast service with jazz music.
Wonderful
Loved it!
Beignets were ok.
Not many vegetarian choices besides salads
(Translated by Google) Better than cafe of the world (Original) Better than cafe du monde
Much better beignets than Cafe DuMonde! Cleaner too!
Beef poboy was sad and dry, without the gravy or pickles advertised. Service was ok. Beignets and pastries looked ok.
Ordered 6 beignets to go. They walked out and handed me 2 bags so I assumed each bag had 3. Got back to my place and 1 bag had 3 beignets the other bag had powdered sugar. Paid for 6 and got 3, thanks
The best beignets, light and airy not to doughy. Simply delicious!
Best beignet in New Orleans, hands down!!
The beignets are quite good. The serving leaves a lot to be desired: not enough seating, but they keep taking orders so there are many people standing around holding numbers with no place to sit. Most of the food is served on open styrofoam plates, so you can’t take it home, but the beignets were served in a paper bag - not convenient for eating at a table! Time to re-think your service!
Endroit sympathique mais nous avons largement préféré les beignets du concurrent... que vous trouverez facilement...
