Nic and Indra showed up right at 8am, when they were scheduled. That is something I have not seen for the years I've been hiring people in the area. Then they immediately just went to work - efficiently and neatly. We left them to finish, and when we returned they were done ahead of schedule. More importantly the place is clean and the job was done well. I was blown away by the prompt, efficient service. Truly Home Heating and Cooling earned a WOW from me today - and I am hard to please.

We recently had our heating and A/C ducts cleaned by HH&C. One of their guys, Indra, came out and did the entire job. He was outstanding. Indra was very personable and also quite knowledgeable about the systems and the process. He took time to explain things clearly and answered all my questions. He went about the work systematically and professionally. He also took the time to lay down floor protection, and placed plastic protection guards on all the wall corners throughout the house. He spent several hours doing the work, but was always clean and careful. I was highly impressed with Indra and HH&C's protocol. Our experience with Home Heating & Cooling could not have been better. We had Home Heating clean our duct work and install a new filter in the furnace. Neal who came and did an assessment of our duct work was very knowledgeable and professional. He took pictures of the inside of our duct work to show us what they looked like and then showed us pictures of what they should look like. He didn't exaggerate how dirty our dict work was but just showed us what they look like and what they should look like. Indra the tech who did the cleaning took a before and after picture of every duct in the house and then showed them to me and the after picture looked just like the pictures Neal showed me as to how they should look during his assessment. Nic another one of the techs was in the crawl space of our house during the cleaning process and noticed our dryer vent had come undone. Rather than just telling us about it he fixed it and showed us pictures of what he found and how he fixed it. This is service "above and beyond". The tech who installed the new furnace filter left our furnace looking better than the original installation. All in all we could not be more pleased with the work, service and attitude of the people from Home Heating and Cooling.

We had to get a completely new heating system since our previous one went belly-up. From the beginning to the end of project everything was handled professionally by Home Heating even to the point where first impressions of the owner, Rick, who gave us our initial consultation, put on floor protection booties coming into our house. With our input and his initial inspection he thoroughly assessed what our needs were and pinpointed the type of system that would fit within our budget and parameters. He suggested a few minor efficiency modifications to our house for accommodating the new installation and they installed it correctly compared to the slipshod slammed in jobs other heating companies had done in the past. His employees that installed the system were timely, knowledgeable, and professional. And most importantly, the new system works great and we're very happy with it! It's nice to find a heating business that did it right and that we can trust for further assistance if we need it.

Neil came out to do an estimate for our duct cleaning and made us feel so comfortable and confident in the work we needed to have done and set us up right away for cleaning and maintenance. Home Heating and Cooling were very prompt in getting someone out to address an issue I had with my furnace. My technician was also very knowledgeable and was able to figure out the root cause of my issue. I am docking Home Heating and Cooling one star only for some excessive pricing on some of the parts/labor cost from their estimate. An example would be a recommended Pressure Switch + Pressure Tubing replacement. The Pressure Switch replacement is $255.00 and the pressure tubing which would've come off the switch when it was replaced anyway is another $170.00. I attached some of their written estimates to give others an idea of pricing for certain parts+labor. Again, they provide great service. That being said, I would advise shopping bids to ensure they are competitive.

Sadly we had a terrible experience with this company. Neil came and provided an estimate with a drawing of what was to be done. The job was promptly scheduled and the installers came to put new ductwork in. When they left I went to my laundry room to see how it looked and was horrified to see huge tubes going straight through the room under the light. I immediately called Neil and sent photos letting him know that what was in my laundry room was not at all in line with what we agreed upon. It seriously looked like a spaceship had landed in there!! They had also ripped open the metal tape and left it a mess. Neil responded that they would come right back to fix it. That did not happen. Fast forward a week or so after rescheduling on us twice which resulted in us having to push out the drywallers who were waiting on the ductwork to be completed; they finally came back and Jason informed us that the job could not be done the way that Neil told us it could. When asking why, he got very irritated at having to explain the reason to a layman. Neil ended up calling and yelled at one of us about having to put more time into the job and threatened to have it all torn out. We responded by telling them to do just that. They just left, having removed all the ductwork they had put in, leaving us with holes in our existing ductwork and walls that now need to be patched. I hope that if Neil has learned from this experience, it is that communication is key. This whole thing could have been avoided had Neil and Jason been on the same page and communicated with us. I’ve never had an experience like this with a legitimate company and am still in shock over the whole thing. On the plus side, one of the employees who came out both times, Indra, was very very nice. He is the only good thing I can say about this company. I’m just sad about how it all went down. Update to response from owner...clearly your guys were not honest with you. There was NEVER any time when we were not there. We would not leave with work being done to the house. The problem was not that planning / time did not go into the job. The problem was that the work carried out was not carried out in accordance with that plan and any changes to the agreed upon plan should have been communicated to us and approved by us but they were not which resulted in disaster. Be honest and accountable. It’s the least you can do.

As always Home Heating has excellent service. We recently had an issue with our lights blinking on and off every time our heater ran. The Home Heating tech spent all day here and ended up having to install a part to help reduce the load on our electrical system. They were very thorough and it fixed the problem. Thanks. :-)

Nic didn't mind having someone following him around the crawl space. Work was done conscientiously and some, like reattaching the main duct, difficult. Sealing duct work interior should and eliminating a flow leak should lower heat loss, (the warm air flowing out of the main duct under the furnace has stopped). A return on this investment will take time, but I feel the cost will eventually be recovered.

Our furnace stopped working, fortunately in late Spring. We called Home Heating & Cooling based on yelp reviews. It was easy to schedule a technician to look at the furnace the next day. The technician (Chris H) showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem (a fried circuit board) quickly. He took the time to explain how the whole system (furnace and air conditioner) worked, what caused the problem, and what my options were to fix it, given the age (15 years) of the furnace. He explained that the circuit board would have to be ordered and would take 3 days to arrive. As he promised, he called 3 days later, part in hand, to arrange a time to complete the repair. He showed up on time. After installing the board, he thoroughly tested the furnace and air conditioner. He's a very nice guy, very articulate and professional. I can't remember ever getting better service for any home repair.

This place is a nightmare, and a total ripoff. They installed a very expensive system for me 5 years ago, and I've had so many problems with it. And they started almost immediately after getting it installed. So, I use another HVAC company now, but I couldn't get a hold of them over the weekend, so I made the mistake of using these clowns. The guy that came out was not friendly, & often times sounded irritated, or condescending. He fixed me up and said I need my evaporator coil cleaned and it would cost over $400 to clean just the evaporator coil. I said "no thanks", & called my company on Monday.They were going to clean my evaporator coil, and my condenser coil, for $230! But it turns out my coils are nearly pristine and didn't require cleaning at all. My guy even took a picture of it to send to his coworkers because of what a scam it was, and he didn't even charge me for coming out, because they value me as a customer! These guys overcharge for everything by almost double of my guys, and still way more than almost any other company I've ever contacted. I've had terrible techs who don't know what their doing, I've had really rude techs, and I've been way overcharged for a glitchy system. And now I guess they're in the business of quoting work that doesn't actually need to be done. Anyways, I wasn't going to write a review, but I keep getting junk email from them requesting a review, so here you go.

Failed heat pump during very cold weather in February. I called Home Heating & Cooling and Jonathan came immediately to troubleshoot problem. He clearly explained options to fix my 16 year old low end system. I agreed to look at a new system. Ric came by within a day and looked over the entire house and duct work for problems. His proposal included a choice of four different Bryant heat pump systems including heating duct rework, cleaning and sealing. He explained in great detail the benefits and efficiencies of each system in his proposal. Within a week his crew, Jason, Indra and Nic, were at my house working on the demo, rework and installation of a new Bryant heat pump system. They were careful and considerate of my home and protected furniture and flooring from dust and debris. Very professional working crew. Final installation is a work of art and is so very quiet and efficient that I wonder why I didn't replace the old system sooner. I highly recommend Home Heating & Cooling.
