Went a few years back when my back went out at work. Workman's comp covered a great deal of time. When I started paying I realized how much they actually charge! I would go in and get told to come back in 2 weeks. Sooner if not better. I would be back in 3 days. When my bill had gotten over a thousand dollars (!) And back still wasn't feeling better, I went back to my normal chiropractor, pomajzl. Within 2 visits I was taken care of. Never going back to active family.

The first two times they adjust you feels weird but the third time is amazing! You feel a lot better and able to do more things. The staff and doctors are so nice and friendly! They understand what situation you are in and listen to what you have to say. Overall there isn’t anything bad about them.

Words cannot describe how frustrated I am with this place. If you want a place that will smile and condescend to scam you; this is your place. If you want any actual relief or treatment: don't bother. They are so concerned with stringing you along and making sure to book you more appointments than actually helping you with your issues. I went in with some back pain due to a misaligned spine. I booked an appointment a few days in advance. They were a little late taking my for my appointment, but it happens. It was the appointment itself that sucked. First, they sat me down and made me watch a 10 minute video about what chiropractic care was. They didn't ask me if i wanted to watch a video, they made me. It was answering common questions about chiropractic care. I know what chiropractic care is, that's why I booked an appointment. I don't know what kinda schmuck schedules an appointment for a care treatment they know nothing about, especially in the age of google. Next was the doctor, who came in about 7 or 8 minutes after the video had ended. They asked me about my problem, then had me lay on the table. They felt my back and then explained my problem back to me as if I hadn't just told them what the problem was. The doctor then explained that my back pain was what made me so ticklish, because you know, it's not possible that I've been so incredibly ticklish my entire life that it has caused me several problems at home and at school in the past. Then they X-Rayed me. Not because an X-Ray is needed to do any minor chiropractic care like I was looking for, no, they just wanted to charge more money. Then the doctor came and told me that I had to book another appointment to get any actual treatment, and that I would need to come back tomorrow or next week. When I said I'd get back to them on the appointment time that would work for me, they just scheduled me in for when they thought was good. And my back still hurts because they didn't do anything. TL;DR I made an appointment because of back pain and instead of relief they wasted my time and told me to book another appointment, so that they could make more money.

Best place to come when your feeling out of wack.. Dr Stephanie knows how to work out all the kinks. Plus side of it all even if there full they will get you in to see someone. So you don't have to be in pain for an extra day. I have never had a bad experience and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else. Friendly and awesome service every time.

It always felt like they were more concerned about money than the person. It was the little things that told me this, like answering the phone with, "Can I schedule you an appointment?" without even bothering to ask why I am calling. Then it was suggested that I try some mineral/herb combination. I had such a horrible allergic reaction, that needed medical care, and when I told my chiropractor that I had had an allergic reaction, he didn't even bother to ask me anything about it. Rather disappointed in the care.

Active Family Chiropractic is a top notch facility. It has a great staff─all of them are friendly and positive. The atmosphere is peaceful. The roller bed is very relaxing and e-stem is very helpful. I enjoy the complimentary bottle of water at every visit. When I first saw Dr. Stephanie, I had trouble turning my head to back out of my driveway in my car. I had to turn my entire body to look both directions. Now, I can easily rotate my head and see everything I need to safely back out of the driveway. I've seen other chiropractors but Dr Gavin is the only one who keeps me pain free. I was scheduled to have a steroid injection and possibly surgery in my neck for a bulging disk and severe stenosis. After seeing him I was able to cancel my injection and go back to the gym (still haven't needed to move forward with surgery either). Thanks Dr Gavin!

Active Family is the best place in GI for chiropractic care. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The Dr's do a great job of keeping me fit and well. I spend a lot of time behind a desk, but the adjustment every 4 to 6 weeks has kept my back in check. I can work behind the desk or work hard and lift heavy objects with no troubles. They do a fantastic job. Today was Wacky Wednesday because they were celebrating their 10 year anniversary. You gotta love this place.

I love how Active Family did x-rays to see how things were before Dr. Reif started doing adjustments and we talked about my short term and long term plans. Also, I like how it's just coming in, getting an adjustment. Every time I come in, I get to do the roller table with e-stem, get adjusted with electric acupuncture and then rehab to build my muscles back up and help with my flexibility. It's a clean facility, the staff is also super friendly and welcoming! I have fibromyalgia along with other health issues and coming to Active Family has helped tremendously!
