Merri Makers recently catered my wedding at the Water Witch Club in Highlands, NJ, and I was extremely happy with every aspect of their service. From the very beginning, Rick, the owner, and Gianna, our day-of coordinator, were right there to offer advice not just on the food selections but also on overall layout and flow of the event. Rick and Gianna conducted multiple site visits to my venue and did walk-throughs with us at several points in the year before the wedding. Gianna also helped me with my furniture and dinnerware order to make sure I had accurate counts. They also provided great recommendations for liquor and cake suppliers. On the day of the event, Gianna was in constant communication with all the other vendors to make sure our timeline was executed smoothly. The event was well-staffed, and the service was wonderful - attentive, but not obtrusive. Most importantly, the food was delicious! They were a massive part of making sure my wedding was a success, and I'm so grateful. If you're planning an event at a non-traditional venue and are looking for a caterer to not only provide great food but also serve as the professional glue holding the whole event together, give Merri Makers a call!

Merri-Makers was a wonderful company to work with! We got married at Taylor Pavilion in Belmar, NJ. The venue is an empty room so you have to bring everything in. Even though we didn’t rent the venue through Merri-Makers, once we did book them as our caterer they were extremely helpful in coordinating with the rental company. The owner, Rick, sat down with us and tailored the menu to suit our tastes, even offering things not in the original package. Our event planner, Patty, was fantastic to work with and met with us in person a number of times to go over every little detail and to answer any questions. On the day of the wedding, she was there from beginning to end making sure everything went smoothly. The entire staff was very friendly. Our guests complemented the service, and of course, the food was delicious! They really enjoyed the custom menu. Merri-Makers truly helped give us the wedding and reception we dreamed of. We would definitely recommend Merri-Makers!

Dealing with Merri Makers was a complete nightmare. Unfortunately, we were forced to use them because of the location we chose (Bonnet Island Estate). Let me start with the owners, Rick and Cindy Bott. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism from business owners in my life. My husband and I ordered the platinum menu along with five other stations. However, this still was not enough for them. They squeezed us for every nickel and dime they could get out of us. The worst of it all: THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR OWN CONTRACT. My husband is a lawyer, he reads contracts every day for a living. Any ambiguity in a contract goes against the drafter. This made a difference of a little over $300. After all of the money we had already given them, he (Rick Bott) aggressively argued with us over this error in his contract. OWNER, RICK BOTT, THREATENED TO CANCEL MERRI MAKERS' SERVICES TWELVE DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING. Because we were exploited by this threat, we were forced to pay it. I highly recommend staying as far away from Merri Makers as possible. Rick and Cindy Bott clearly don't play by the rules. They will take as much money as they possibly can from you. Save yourself the stress and aggravation and go elsewhere.

We had our wedding this past weekend at Neshanic Valley Country Club, hosted by Merri-makers. The staff were absolutely incredible. Each member was so accommodating and attentive to all of the guests at the wedding, and truly made our night go smoothly and carefree. Along with the service the food was tremendous. All of our guests have been giving wonderful feedback about the cocktail hour, drinks and main course. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hard work, from prepping to hosting. I just called today twice politely asking for some wedding info and the receptionist named Shirley or Shelly hung up on me for no reason. Have not seen so rude a person for a long time. Don’t want to even deal with them given this unpleasant experience.

Did a great job on my car and super communicative while working in car. I work nights and sleep during the day so the office and mechanics were super patient and cool when I needed to get back to them later. Chill dudes from what I’ve gathered. Brakes re-done in a day and it was a nice job.

Choosing Merri-Makers was a fantastic decision and they made our wedding a day we will never forget. Patti took excellent care of us and made us feel like we were there every step of the way - even though we were planning a wedding from 700 miles away! The food was delicious and vendor recommendations were spot on, from the party supplies, to the DJ, to the florist, it was everything we could have ever hoped for and more. We highly recommend Merri-Makers and the Taylor Pavilion!!!
