Buying a car is easy and enjoyable, at least from my standpoint. Unfortunately, I did not buy a car from Dutch Miller Kia. Instead, I purchased a certified pre-owned Kia from an out of state dealer. It came with some significant problems that the other dealer could not or would not fix. After many frustrating months, I took my vehicle to Dutch Miller Kia's service department. They quickly diagnosed the problems and fixed them, even going as far as replacing parts the other dealer had damaged. They were and are fantastic to work with. Their staff quickly communicates with customers and are refreshingly straightforward. The technicians are true experts. In particular, the service manager, Paula Akers, is phenomenal. She is very nice and caring, and very professional. Ms. Akers went above and beyond whatever I could have expected. She and her staff are stand-up people who made things right for me. I am extremely grateful to them for completely taking care of a very stressful situation for myself and my wife. Thank you! I believe that the best attribute of an automobile dealership is the service they provide after the car is sold, and in my case, even when not bought from them. I could not recommend Dutch Miller Kia more highly.

I would love to share my experience. I went there when it was 96 degrees. The compressor on my AC was out. I was given a price of $800 firm. I was going to allow them to place the compressor then decided to hold off, ( to check other prices) , good thing I did. I called the Dutch Miller in Huntington,WV was quoted a price of $492 for the exact same compressor brand new. I’m thinking either the lady who quoted me this price was going to put $300 in her pocket or they were taking advantage of me due to the extreme temp that day. I will NEVER visit this location for anything , they attempt to rip customers off if given the opportunity

My husband really wanted a Dodgei Durango so we went to Dutch Miller and talked to Jake Rollo. He was great in taking us through all the different models and explaining the features and differences. I have never enjoyed the car buying process but I have to admit this experience was pain free. They did not have exactly what we wanted so Jake took us online to search for just the right one. I have been a loyal customer for several years now and have referred people to this dealership because of the quality service I normally receive. Mind you, I have bought two cars from them and was getting ready to buy my third until this happened. I took in my car that I bought from there to get an appraisal on for trade in. They totally low-balled me on my trade. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle what so ever. They have all the service records because they did the service since I owned it, and what wasn't done there, we have records for. They offered $6000 less than what my pay off was for and $1000 less than what their Kelley blue book quote gave me when I put in all my information. I left out of there, called my husband because he had to get the car keys from the sales manager and they overheard what I said. What they offered was insulting. I'll go across the street to Joe Holland and look at their competition next before going back there.

Decided to order a truck with Dutch after going back and forth between Dutch and Walker. I was quoted a price and assured that the rebates and price when I ordered the truck would be what I paid. So magically a week before the new truck came in, the price jumped $4XXX. I knew something was up when the VIN was available the next week and they didn't accept my deposit and told me not to worry about it. They lied to make a sale, and now I'm out a couple thousand in rebates that have since expired.

I had my car towed there for a flat tire and ended up having all 4 tires replaced. The service was fine, but the tires were $114/each. That is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Next time I will not use Kia roadside assistance and I will have my car towed my car to Marty's tires or some place else. Do yourself a favor and get Triple A or put roadside assistance on your insurance policy so you have a choice of where your car will be towed. Marty's Tires is less than a mile from where my car had the flat, and I could have saved a bundle if I had known to do that.

Bought vehicle used bought extended warranty. Engine went bad. Warranty company covering cost of engine. But Dutch Miller Kia service department has had car for 7+ weeks. Was told it would be 4-6 weeks when I called to inquire about it service woman told me they didn’t even have an eta on the engine. The said week he have had another woman’s car for 4 months. Chrysler calls me and wanted their car back not knowing Dutch had it. Also Dutch is still not giving me the info i need that says the car has been turned in . I took my Sedona in for service because it was making a grinding noise in the rear. They told me it was due to the undercoating coming off in the wheelwell. They also looked at my front brakes and determined I needed new ones. So, I had the front brakes fixed and took the car. On the way home it started making the grinding noise again! I took it in again to resolve the issue that wasn't fixed on the first visit and was told the rear brakes were bad. The problem I have with all of this is why they didn't find this on my first visit, especially since I brought it in specifically telling them the grinding noise was coming from the rear of the vehicle?

I took my mom's 2014 Kia Sorento to Dutch Miller Kia in Charleston on April 24 for an oil change. About 30 minutes into the appointment, my service adviser Dennis came into the waiting room to talk to me. Dennis informed me that all four brakes on the car were "basically gone, down to the metal." Dennis said that the brakes were so bad that the car was unsafe to drive, and told me that I would have to sign a waiver of liability if I even wanted to leave without getting them replaced that day and quoted me over $400 to change the brakes on all four tires. My brother happens to be a certified Kia mechanic and I was not about to pay over $400 to have the brakes changed when I knew that he could do it for just the cost of the parts. Two days later my mom took the car to him to have the brakes replaced only to discover that all four brakes were perfectly fine. By his estimate, they had about 10,000- 15,000 miles left before they needed replaced and were by no means "dangerous." He could also tell that the mechanic (whose name I do not know) hadn't even pulled the tires off of the vehicle to inspect the brakes. My brother sent me pictures of the brakes, and even my untrained eye can see that there is nothing wrong with them. (Pictures attached) Obviously, this was very troubling to me, as I've had bad experiences with dealerships in the past who have tried to take advantage of me- I'm assuming because I'm a woman and they think I'm an easy target. On April 29 my mother and I both called Kia to complain about this and spoke to Paula. Paula ensured me that she was going to talk to both Dennis and the technician to determine what happened in this situation, and that she would let me know as soon as she found out what happened. I have yet to hear anything from her or anyone at Dutch Miller regarding this situation, and it's obvious that Dutch Miller Kia is not concerned that either their mechanic or their service adviser intentionally lied to a customer in an attempt to have unnecessary and costly work done. I'll also note that the final paperwork I received from the dealership doesn't say anything about needing brakes replaced, and Dennis conveniently forgot to have me sign the waiver of liability. The multi-point inspection that they complete during every service call has the brakes marked as "may need future attention," which is a far cry from "unsafe to drive" or "down to the metal" as I was told by my service adviser. Customers, BEWARE. If you go into this dealership to have work done to your car, and they inform you that additional work needs to be done immediately make them SHOW YOU the problem. Better yet, take your car somewhere else for service. UPDATE: As of May 22, 2019 I still have NOT been contacted by anyone at Dutch Miller Kia, despite being told on this Google Review as well as my Facebook review that a manager would be contacting me. Again, I caution you against using this dealership as they clearly engage in deceptive practices and have made no attempt to resolve customer complaints.

They don't deserve this one star. 2016 Wrangler the manual shift lever falls off in my hand. Should be a simple repair right? Wrong. First they made me make a service appt. for a Friday at 2 when I called first thing Monday morning. I dropped it off, showed the guy what needed fixed and he called back that evening and said they had to order a part it would be ready Monday. Today's Tuesday and after 3 phone calls and sitting on hold and getting hung up on twice, they guy finally comes and says the bolt I need is on "nationwide backorder". Meanwhile I can go online and order one myself from numerous sources. It clearly isn't backordered they probably just forgot to order it. I would recommend avoiding this bunch if at all possible.

I told them about the drivers seat needed to be fixed and the lady in service had an attitude and said it was normal wear the car only had 5000 miles on it and I called Kia and they called her and she told them the same thing and they offered to pay half and I told them no. So, I've had some work done here on a couple cars and thought well the sales department cant be as rude as the service department but I was wrong. I had contacted a salesperson when my car was last in the shop there and he refused to answer my questions or even consider helping me. Today, I drove an hour to see a couple Optima's and discuss payment options and arrangements. Yes it was 430, and they close at 5. But I was treated even worse in person than just through my phone as previously mentioned. The salesperson refused to even speak of payment options or let me look at a vehicle until we worked out how far under I am on my current vehicle. Yes, I am under on it, but the salesperson refused to even speak about a down payment or rebates as there was nothing he could do. So as I loaded my family into our vehicle, he was already off the lot. If you dont want to do business at 5, just tell people, "hey were getting ready to close, come back tomorrow when I can assist you longer." So if anyone goes there to buy a vehicle make sure you arent under on your vehicle and trying to get into a better deal.

Very disappointed in the service department. Went in for oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection. Two hours and $90 later, including $19.95 to rotate tires they already had to take off to inspect the brakes. I have been to two other Dodge dealers for the same service that was only $50 to $60. Also the other dealers gave me a print out of my tread depth, brake pad and rotor thickness, etc. At the Dutch Miller service dept they only do a visual inspection and don't actually take measurements. Then to top it off they didn't even bother to reset change oil reminder. I expect a higher quality of service from a dealership. I will not be returning to Dutch Miller for any service.

Had a great experience buying a Jeep Cherokee with the assistance of Nick Patton about a week ago. Husbands and wives probably rarely agree 100% on anything (at least in our case ha ha ) but I believe my wife and both feel we got exactly what we were looking for. Even better yet, due to incentives and rebates, some of which were discovered as they closed the deal, the price came in about $800 LESS than what the dealership originally quoted!!! That's ironic because my goal was to get the vehicle about $700 less than their quote! Very happy with the final deal. Nick was very calm and patient and did a very professional job. Went in to file my paperwork for canceling my extended warranty and Gap coverage on my 2016 Dodge Ram Big Horn I traded in. I seen Taylor d.c. own at the Kia in Fianance to fill it all out plus I e mailed him a copy of the Odometer reading of the vechicle. A few weeks went bye I called Mopar to check on it , and it had never been processed. I turned it in on 18 Dec 2018 with a end date of my truck for 14 Dec 2018. So I called Dutch Miller Kia right after I got off the phone with Mopar . I asked why my paperwork hadn't been turned in. The person on the other end being smart said I found it and I just put it in. That was 4 Jan 2019. Well that's the effective date that I submitted it. A lie. They are cheating me out of 21 days of my contract money . The Mopar agent stated it was a good amount . I think they did the same with my Gap as well. This is not right they worked it so they make out and get some of my money. WRONG. I CANT call there they blocked my cell number and my home number. I think that's getting a little far when you do that. UNLESS YOU DID DO SOMETHING WRONG AND DIRTY. I HAVE BOUGHT 3 VECHICLES FROM DUTCH MILLER AND MY GRANDSON BOUGHT ONE AS WELL. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE. THIS IS WRONG WHAT THEY DID. It SEEMS WHEN THEY ANSWER A REVIEW ITS WITH A COMPUTER GENERATED ONE. THEY CAN'T EVEN TAKE THE TIME OUT TO ANSWER A REVIEW. I THINK THATS PRETTY PATHETIC FOR THEM BEING A CAR DEALERSHIP. YOU KNOW I HAD GREAT SERVICE WHEN I BOUGHT I NEW 2016 DODGE RAM BIG HORN. When I bought my 2016 Optima in October of 2017, it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. I came away feeling fortunate to have dealt with my sales person, Ms. King, & everyone else I encountered that day. Since then I have brought my Optima to the service department to ask them to check out a noise I was hearing that sounded as though it was coming from within the dash. I was told the staff did not hear the noise I described. While driving home that day I heard the noise again. On 12/28/17 I had an appointment for oil change & tire rotation. At the time I made the appointment I asked if they could again assess the noise I was continuing to hear coming from within the dash. At the completion of the appointment I was told a technician decided the noise was due to an ash tray & coasters I had in the cup holder receptacles. I am retired after 30(+)yr in healthcare & realize I am not God's gift to the world of automobile mechanics. But I am not a village idiot who can't figure out that a removable ash tray & coasters are not the source of the noise I continue to hear in my new car. The more I think about it, the more offended I am. The thought of having to drive to Barboursville for service isn't appealing but inevitable. I am beginning to think I may as well get use to the annoying sound coming from my dash & just hope it isn't something ominous. I'm beginning to wish I could get back the car & motorcycle I traded in the first week in this past October.

This is the worst dealership you could ever imagine working with. It is full of lies and thieves. I was sold a car and told it was an AWD. I came to find out a year later the car is a FWD. I was told by both the dealership and the Chrysler Rep that I would have to pay the difference to get the car I wanted. It's too bad that you have to have a lawyer on standby anymore just to be able to be treated humanely. Needless to say I have no money and was unable to press this issue further, but I find it sickening that Dutch Miller was unwilling to help me in any way at all.

Wasnt treated well. They were too busy for me to test drive and I had called and set an appointment. Great huge selection of new and used cars though. The service dept was amazing and went the extra mile for me when I accidentally ordered a piece for my Kia at the Barboursville store. They had a driver not only bring it to Charleston but drop off to me at work!! Sales staff wasnt the greatest though!

I made an appointment on a Friday to look at a particular car and also applied for pre-approved credit. I spoke to both a conceriege person and a local employee. My appointment was for Sunday afternoon. I received an appointment reminder email from an employee on Sunday morning. Drove 100 miles round trip on Sunday only to find out when I arrived that the car had been sold on Saturday. Never received any calls or emails alerting me that the car was no longer available. Total waste of my time and money, and I will not consider this dealership for any future purchases due to the incredibly poor customer service.
