Very disappointed in the changes to management. I used to love coming here with my dad as a kid. Today I came in trying to join a get your gear league late. Because the league gives you 2 balls at the end of the season it is $6 more per week then normal. They started it during the shool year when I was not in town. I have friends who have a team and need a 4th player so I went in to join. The manager demanded that for me to join I'd have to pay $140 for games I never played in order to even join the league. I told him I'd pay the $6 for every week I missed so that I'm not getting the balls any cheaper. He rudely refused, again saying for my to join I'd have to pay $140 for games I didn't play. It's bad customer service and it's honestly bad business. There's a hole in that team that isn't making them money, and I wanted to fill that hole which would make them money. For the $140 they asked, as a collegiate bowler I could buy the newest top-of-the-line high end ball. What a bad experience.

It's your average AMF bowling alley, honestly. Pizza is ok, the maintenance is ok, the atmosphere is ok. It's fine if you want to hang out and bowl a couple of games, but it isn't the kind of place you'd want to do a date night.

We had never been there before we won’t be back. We spent $85 on 2 adults and 2 kids to each... instead of charging for kids meals they charged us for each individual thing (pizza and drink separately). When we asked why we were charged that he said you have to ask for kids meal. My kids ordered themselves pretty sure u can tell they are kids when ur taking their order. There was no music playing and it cost us $55 to bowl 2 games. This was with a $20 discount we got for signing up for their club. We won’t be back! We were coming to check it out for a birthday party but we are glad we checked it out before signing up for it. Close to $150 for 2 games and a turkey melt that was not even warm or melted is not grounds for a good review. I think if the the prices were decent and food was good you would be busier. And if ya turned up the music

After being ignored by the staff I eventually requested a lane next to my buddies and paid 16 bucks for a single game of bowling, only to be told after the transaction that the lane I asked for was "broken". The employee at the register told me I could join my buddies for an additional 24 dollars. Demanded my money back and I won't be giving them another penny. The staff here is rude and can't be bothered to care about the customers. Any other bowling alley in town is better.

I played really well today on a Wednesday after Christmas. There was about a 20 minute wait until an open lane but during that time we played pool. The ball return system worked good and the scorekeeper on the tv did good.there is a league at 5 on Wednesday’s but it only takes up about 6 lanes. Staff was friendly and I can’t wait to come back!

My experience was not up to standards.it was rigged.I kept losing because the floor had dents.the pins were flying everywhere. Some were fell and some were flying.others didn't even show up.I would bowl but the ten pins would still stand there.shoes did not fit and many of my peers fell and workers kept interupting by just walking through the lane.I paid hundreds of dollars for absolute bollocks. Hundreds of dollars plus tax making it like 60 bucks!.do not recommend.amf please reply soon.we have to discuss something.overall great place.would recommend

Expensive but lots of fun! The hourly charge per person isn't adjusted if you only have 1 lane for 5 people, it's the same hourly rate per person as for 2. It frustrated me when they don't give you the option to have 2 lanes next to each other. I'm sure all alleys are this way now though :(

The Manager Brooke was Insanely RUDE! So my grandmother was going to order food and Brooke was doing an interview and completely ignoring my grandma. So people started talking to her about how bad the service was, and so her and a lady were talking and Brooke overheard and started yelling at her. LIKE WHAT!? She is the the manager, She SHOULD NOT TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. 1 STAR. GET A NEW MANAGER.!

Worst service ever. Paid for a 2 or 3 games and they shut us down after 1.5 said. They gave no reason why but said to get the lane running again they would have to call some out of area main office. We have office vs. Office games and we get really competitive so to be shut down mid game was really annoying. The service may have been worse though we order pizza 2 pepperoni and a while later we had 1 cheese pizza no silverware or plates and the server said they didn't have the drinks which were advertised on the score keeper. Since we definitely weren't given a menu. I wouldn't have even put a star but I would rather get the word out.

Guy at the desk was rude. Wouldn't honor our coupon because it was "Extreme Bowling"... just cause the lights were off?? Extreme rip off is more like it. We wanted bumpers for two of the kids. They couldn't do that. Bumpers had to be for everyone or noone because they had to be put up manually. Such a disappointing place!

Chicken wings basket didn't come with fries and expensive, scoring is way off keep having to change the score. Cosmic bowling means turning on a few black lights and upping the charge. C'mon really? Would rather go to the AMF pro planes in NKC

This bowling alley has many problems. The equipment is out of date (even for a bowling alley). When I went last time the ball return took many chunks out of my bowling ball that I will now have to get fixed. The bumpers have to be raised for either everybody on your lane or nobody. The prices here are a little above average for a bowling alley (they don’t offer hourly rates either). They have deals on weeknights but frequently have league play going on so there is no/few open lanes. I would not recommend this(especially if you bring your own ball)

Plenty of lanes, clean bathrooms, well priced beer. And yes, they do have a full bar and good drink specials. Staff was friendly and the parking is easy. Easy to get to and see from the street. It had been a bit since I'd last bowled, so I appreciated that all the balls are color coded by weight and they have a guide for finger placement. Makes it easy to jump right in.

Question I would like to know why would a company charge over $8 for unlimited bowling and charge an extra $5 for bowling shoes .....I am a grand parent that brings their grandchildren there every Wednesday and never had to paid an extra fee for bowling shoes. Is the $8 just to come in and watch people bowl ? Cause you can’t bowl if you don’t have bowling shoes . The customer service sucks, and the food and drinks are way to expensive. We’ve been coming there every Wednesday all this summer and never had to paid and extra fee for bowling shoes. I guess we’re going to have to find a better spot to bowl.

It's an ok experience. The shoes and balls are all very worn and the cost is a bit high, but you can get right in with out a reservation. They recently upgraded the lane seating which is nice faux leather couches. Food is good though.

Their female manager was very condescending when talking to us. She even tried to argue with an employee as we were checking out. They also didn’t tell us the price before we started bowling and come to find out we payed for each individual person instead of by lane, which doesn’t make sense because then we could have just each gotten our own lane for the same price. I would definitely give 0 stars if I could.

Horrible experience. Never retuning to this establishment. It was our first time to this place, and they are not getting our business ever again. The front desk clerk did not explain the charges clearly at all, we asked how much 1 game would be, the front desk clerk said it was $6 per game plus $5 for each players shoes. My husband even said to him "oh wow that's a good price, so the total would be about $22 plus tax" and the front desk agreed with him, and said we check out after we bowl. We ended up playing 2 games and buying some food because we thought the bowling prices were very good. When we went to check out it the total ended up being well over $55. Of course my husband and I were surprised by the total and asked the details of the price, and then the front desk clerk decided to inform us it was actually $6 per person for each game. For a single family who is on a budget and expected a certain total it was a very unfortunate event. We weren't even able to talk to management, and the front desk clerk basically implied we were lying. To say the least we will NEVER be returning to AMF College Lanes.

I have gone to this place twice. The first was great and I enjoyed bowling with my family. The second time was much worse. We were placed next to birthday party. We requested to move one lane over and they did move us. However the issue occurred again when they shoved a huge group in the two lanes to our left after 6 frames in our first game. Both groups (birthday group and people to our left) had kids everywhere. They would run into our lanes and generally we had to be more worried about where they were than playing our game. We politely mentioned something to one of the adults of the left group; we were no longer near the birthday group. She apologized and rounded up at least 6 kids off the wood, but one of the other adults overheard and said how we should be saying "excuse me" to them. At this time our final player was finishing their last throw. We quit after that first game. The children had nearly tripped two members of our group and multiple times we had to stop the wind up to throwing the ball because they'd run in front of us into our lane space. This was just in the last two frames of our game after they had setup. They were acting like like they were on a playground or a play pen and if we continued someone was going to get injured. After having to deal with this from two groups on either side was bad enough and as we paid we complained. After paying we began to walk out. One of their members came running up to us and confronted us yelling and acting aggressive. He wasn't happy we mentioned something about the kids. Other members of his group had to intervene and pushed him back away from us. Nothing more happened as we walked out to our vehicles and left immediately to avoid him coming after us in the parking where there aren't cameras (I think, even if there were we still didn't want risk more trouble). I doubt we will ever come back here. Despite staff giving us free bowling coupons for our next visit, unless we can use them at another location they'll probably never get used. The place is alright and the staff was good, but when our game is ruined by poorly behaved children who aren't reined in by staff or their parents, and when those parents try to threaten us because they're upset we said something, it isn't worth it to go anymore. Before any readers of this think we we rude to the other groups, we were not. We were polite when handling the situation. I don't about you all, but one thing I don't ever want to deal with is hitting someone with a bowling ball and when safety is compromised by poor behavior and then you're threatened because you speak up...I have no words.

There was 36 lanes, but the decorations were old-timey. The staff was friendly and happy to help. At the end of our 2nd game, two of our bowling balls got stuck, and we had to get another ball. It was very cheap when we went on a Tuesday night ;it was only $2.22 for one person for 2 games.

I just have to say that I had some great customer service. I rented a lane for my birthday and Michael, the manger was so great to work with. When my other guests showed up, which was my best friend, her fiance and her kids, Michael came over and gave us the next lane, at no charge and put up the bumpers so my friend's 5 year old daughter could bowl. I didn't even ask, he just did it. I really appreciated it and everyone had a blast. When I am in the mood for bowling, I will definitely come back.

This place is just okay. It could use some updates and I was told they had to put bumpers up either for everyone or no one (even though the system offers customizing, I don't think they are are as up with the tech they themselves have). I also got a Groupon only to find I can't use it on a Saturday or within 24 hours of purchase (and, really, then what's the point of being on groupon?). I did like the way the lanes and chairs were set up and they were comfortable. The tv's locations and the music was mostly 90s, which is fine with me.

The problem with this world are people like BROOKe who work as a manager at College Lanes in Overland Park. All i wanted was a couple of soft drinks and fries for my daughter and granddaughter. We were there as part of my daughters bday. My granddaughter is only 11 and has already written her own review as the bad experience she witnessed today! Brooke, the manager, was doing an interview. I waited for at least 15-20 minutes to get acknowledged. I was within her eye sight for a purpose thinking she would set a good example to her prospective employee by stopping the interview for a few minutes and assist me. If u are the manager and it’s ur job to serve the public then serve the public. As I stood there waiting I had more than one person say to me that the service was horrible today! Short staffed I was told! As I’m standing there a nice lady walks up to me and says what she thinks about the service or the lack there of! Brooke then stops her interview and very rudely comes up to us and starts stating I’m in the wrong and that Cecil can take care of us. He can’t fix the food she said but he can take our order. She said she would fix our food when she’s finished with her interview. Now I ask...why do u need help anyways if ur pissing off customers by treating them badly and ignoring them? No need for employees if nobody to serve! I’ve never been treated like I was by this so called manager as the customer! The person with me referred to Brooke as a @bitch” when she complained to Cecil. Little did we know at the time that Brooke was the manager! What example is she setting?! I will never return and discourage anyone I know from going there. Cecil was excellent and helpful to the best of his abilities. But that manager does not deserve to be a manager of anything! She said I needed to stop gossiping by the trash can!? Little did she know I was talking loudly enough to get her attention! Ty Brooke for showing me how to NOT serve a customer! Prime example of bad and I mean bad customer service!!!!

The only complaint is the drinks are a little expensive. The staff was friendly, clean establishment and felt like home. They have great deals on their beer towers! A hell of a time if you go with a few friends and go for their cosmic bowling!

One lady working concessions was rude, i feel like if you work in customer service you shouldn't have a bad attitude. I work in customer service as well, and even on my bad days the guests see me smiling because they didn't do anything to me so their expierence should be a good one! Either way, fun place, good food, a little pricey but worth it to see my son have such a good time.

Very dirty and broken lanes. The lights were turning off while playing bowling and a staff name Gail latt yelling at us why you bowling. They shut lanes before 15 min of our time. All lanes are old and the pins were taking forever to get it reset after playing. The whole thing is dirty and worst bowling lanes you want to have fun there with family. All the bowls have holes and doesn't have any good selection with bigger holes and lighter weight.
