The people were great and the atmosphere was good but I don't think their machines have been cleaned for decades. The balls came back so filthy. I'd love to do a league their but they'd have to clean those machines first

Really nice bowling alley! The guy working the shoe counter was super nice and helpful. The guys at the snack bar and bar were really nice too. Everyone made us feel welcomed, place was very clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. Food we ordered was cheesy breadsticks and pizza half cheese and half pepperoni. All was very yummy and hot! I would definitely be happy to be a repeat customer!

We went bowling and got the 8pm rates, which were very reasonable. I am giving 4 stars because there were some issues with the lane: the ball didn't always return, and sometimes it would drop a pin as it was resetting for the player to finish their turn. We were eventually moved to a new lane and had no more glitches at all. Customer service deserves 5+ stars! I don't remember his name, but he took great care of us! If you can take a glitch and roll with it and you appreciate fabulous customer service, I recommend AMF on Gilbert and Southern. My 87 year young mother in law is ready to go again!

Took our little kids here in the middle of the week and had an awesome time! Based on how it looked I would have given less stars, because it could probably use an update, but the staff was so friendly that it made up for it. 2 adults, 2 children, shoe rental, and one game cost $38.

Tried this bowling alley for the first time and the employees were really friends and nice upbeat atmosphere, however our lane kept having issues but Rachel was amazing about the situation with us. Definitely will be coming back!! Only reason I won’t give it a 5 star is due to how warm it was inside.

Spent most my time in the lounge talking with the bartender Levi over a cocktail. Decided it was too expensive to bowl there now, or play pool, or play video games... Amf bowling co. as it is called now, has taken a wrong turn towards non family fun. That's a shame.

While the food was reasonably priced and my two grandchildren enjoyed bowling, it was not worth the price. We waited over an hour for our food. Burgers were dry and hard. Grilled cheese was more bread and very little cheese. $70.00 for 5 people to play and then $56.00 for food.

The lanes that we were in didn't really work.(where having a lot of problems when it was switching people) The staff was worth nothing. They toke a lot time to fix the problems. And when we got there the place was nearly empty. And they stuck us between two big groups. Why there were so many other lanes to put us in and when there became problems with the lane we asked to switch and they wouldn't. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great bowling alley for the MDLP Bowling course. The employees are usually pretty nice about printing out the scores. Plus, the MDLP students have a discount if you talk to the alley about it in advanced. My one complaint is how expensive the concessions are.

Went for the great Monday night special (special is the reason it didn't get 1 star) with some coworkers. Instantly we were told "we don't have any lanes" before we could even open our mouths. We informed him we had a friend who was already there with a lane and got an "oh. Okay. Which lane?" The lane broke down probably 5 times during our 3 hours of unlimited bowling. The first time they didn't even want to be bothered with it (they said just reset the lane which didn't work). Finally after the 5th time they got fed up and moved us to a different lane - yes THEY were annoyed that they had to keep dealing with it, not us the actual customers. I love bowling and $11 for 3 hours unlimited is a great deal otherwise I wouldn't consider returning. Next time we're going to check out AMF Bowlero a few miles south on Gilbert.

My six-year-old daughter and I went after seeing in advertisements for $2 shoe rental and $2 games per person on Tuesdays. We arrived about 6:30 p.m. with plans to bowl and have dinner. The special did not begin until 8 p.m., unfortunately, and was actually $2.22 per rental and game, difference (albeit a small difference) to the ad I had seen earlier. This was a bit disappointing, as 8 was too late to bowl with my daughter, and I wasn't wanting to spend the nearly $20 they were charging that time of night. So we decided to grab some food, which we had to go to the bar to order. The person that was taking our order was very sweet, although it was her first day and so she was unable to answer the questions I had about their hot wings, and, it seemed to take awhile for her to find another employee to ask. The wings were a bit more expensive than I had expected (I didn't want to put an accurate pricing down, so I just went to the website to see what their wings actually cost, and there's no prices on any of their food--never a good sign

I bowl on a league and tonight, they decided to change the lights in the ladies room to ORANGE. IT'S HORRIBLE! You can't see with 3 bays of orange lights in a small bathroom. There's always at least 1 of the 3 toilets in there broken. It smelled like urine, and now it looks like it too. The owner needs to invest some money into this place. I love the people on the league, but the lanes are horrible, the atmosphere is slowly getting worse and worse, and then they told me they're going to switch all of the lightingb to ORANGE. REALLY??? Don't do it!!!!! League night - we need lights. It's not fun night.

Terrible customer service. Had work gathering...asked about 2$ promo. Employee confirmed. Was told at check out the promo no longer in effect. Lanes shut down 3 times and ac broken. Not even an apology. Management never even replied to email.

Dirty lanes. Lanes kept breaking down. Bowling ball comes back from the return machine and after awhile it feels like sandpaper. Service for alcoholic beverages was very slow. The one good thing is they gave us free bowling because of the trouble we had with the lane breaking down which is appreciated which I probably might comeback again.

This place has got to be the worst bowling alley I have ever been too. It used to be a fine establishment that my leauge bowling buddies would practice at. Ive also grown up in this area and have gone to this alley my entire life. We spent a lot of time and money at this bowling alley in the past. Last night we bowled here after an absence of a few weeks. We were told a price when we showed up. We bowled went to check out and they charged us triple what they originally said the price to be. It was criminal what they charged us for a few games. We tried to plead our case to the workers and manager, they were all very rude. On top of what we got charged the lanes are all garbage, you have to reset the pins at least 15 times per game and the mens bathroom smelled so bad of urine I almost threw up walking in. The music is horrendous, teenage pop music during late night games and you cannot request any other type of music, a variety of music would be nice. All in all this AMF used to be a great bowling alley, it is not anymore and after last night we will never spend our money at this bowling alley again. I have a feeling this alley will close down if they continue the route they are going. The AMF on country club will do just fine. I'd give 0 stars if it was an option.

Family time at AMF lanes of Mesa. We bowled one game with my family for my birthday. The atmosphere was fun and non aggressive for those not so good bowlers. We had a great time and the kids did too. Would recommend to anyone for family nights.

I didn't realize how far the Bowlero tentacles could reach. Their corporation owns every bowling alley in our city it seems and they turned every one into an impossible place for families. If you hit their deals like the summer pass, it can be great. Bowlero didn't put any kind of money into this location. The bowling equipment, seating, shoes and alley balls are all beat to hell. They renovated the tiny bar if that's what you're into. Food is expensive and really lackluster. If they would just keep it a simple bowling alley with delicious staples, we'd have no problem. Overall, I'm really disappointed.

Went with my grown-up kids at midday on a holiday. Great lanes. The music mix was mostly classic rock and pop. Snack bar has good food. We had grilled cheese and french fries; both were great. Arcade has one air hockey table and video games. One pool table is in the bar area and priced hourly. Location is less-than obvious from the road as this building is behind the shopping center that faces Gilbert road. Great place to relax and have fun.

My family and I went bowling and when my 3yo daughter got her shoes they didnt fit. So the employee grabbed a other pair to try again. Once again they didnt fit and not other sizes were close to her shoe size so instead the guy refunded us the cost for her pair of shoe and then let her bowl in her normal shoes. I was very impressed with the customer service here!!! On top of it he even gave us a voucher for a free game. Thank you so much :) definitely will come back in the future

I booked a birthday party for my preschooler. 5 days after I booked it, corporate office called to say that 2 leagues booked for the entire day and they couldn't host my party at my requested time and asked if I could change the party time to 7 pm (on a school night) and told me that the league's booked the day AFTER I booked my party. Corporate office called to tell me that the manager gave the associate the wrong day for when the league's booked and my party would continue as planned. Fast forward to the day of the party and the league's were there but they tucked us away to the end (which was fine) but said that there wouldn't be any music and the videos on the TV were turned off because it would distract the league. Now, I understand that but I booked my party first and felt I wasn't given what I should have been given. The staff was great and made sure we had everything we need, otherwise.

It's just great fun for a low cost. I went with a group late at night maybe an hour or a hour and a half before closing but the staff was still very helpful. Though they didn't really seem to care to much for what we were doing but what can you expect that late at night I don't blame them. Overall though I really enjoy this place and I would definitely recommend it if you love bowling and it's a great place to hang out with friends.

Management at this location is excellent. Willing to go above & beyond to make sure customers get the best experience possible. Very very impressed with the attention to detail, friend lines & outstanding customer service. I really love the way it is tucked back a bit off Southern. Makes for a nice feel. This bowling alley is not the most cutting edge in technology but its not like we are pros playing here & with service at this quality I can handle not knowing the mph of my ball.

Building is hard to see from the street as it's located between some apartments and a strip mall that block it's view from Southern Avenue.

Always been a fan of this location but it has definitely gone downhill. Bowling is bowling, it's hard to mess that up. So focus on your employees' work ethic cuz I waited 10 mins just for one soda. Standing at the counter like a dumbass while making eye contact w the 3 people behind the counter just avoiding me. All in all I had fun, but I'm obviously voicing my opinion regarding the experience for a reason.

This alley is a little tucked back and hard to see from the street but it's clean and the lanes are nice. What you expect from a typical AMF. Bar is nice and has decent choices especially with the on draft beers. No complaints from me.

AMF is a nice place to bowl. Their bowling balls are in sections by weight. That is a big deal to me. At other places, I have spent 20 minutes looking for a ball. Here I took the first one I picked up. The staff was very nice and organized. The equipment was well maintained. I don't like hard rock (screaming), but I guess rhat is bowling for ya.

Mechanical problems every week we've been there--pins dropping, wrong scoring (putting in spares or strikes when it didn't happen), constant problems with ball returns. Also, the lanes are very dirty; it seems like they never clean the approach to the lane. My hands have been filthy after every game I've bowled there. Also, employees never seem to be around when problems happen so three games have taken much longer than normal.

Disappointed in this bowling alley. AMF needs to disconnect with this disgrace of an alley. Very old worn out tables and chairs, the Lanes are bubbly and are beyond need of a refinish. I watched them oil the Lanes I bowled on and I might have well been bowling on plywood. Also left a nasty black dirt streak on both of my bowling balls. One of the balls (which was brand new, first time down a lane) came back scuffed up by the Lanes. I bowled one game and left, never been so dissatisfied with a bowling alley before. Definitely will not be going back.
