We booked a last minute cake tasting and design of our wedding cake with less than 2-weeks before our big day and the process was so smooth (and tasty!) The tasting gave us all the possibilities of flavors and we found it challenging to decide because everything was great! When we presented a cake design that we found online, they reassured us that they could easily create it and they did not disappoint! Our wedding cake looked just like we had imagined and we cannot thank A Little Cake enough for helping make our big day such a success!

Can’t say enough about the custom cake that I purchased for a Paris themed baby shower. Leo was so patient through out the design process. He really listened to what I wanted in a cake and I fully trusted his recommendations. To say I was thrilled with the end result would be an understatement! Lastly cakes that look this good rarely taste this good but Leo and the A Little Cake team absolutely nailed both!

I'm still fairly new resident in the area and so when my wife's birthday came around I found myself scrambling to find a good cake for our party. "A Little Cake" had a lot of positive reviews online and I'll be adding my voice to the chorus. Their website made picking the right cake easy (size and filling especially). We went with chocolate icing, chocolate cake and a raspberry filling and it was easily one of the best cakes we've had. Thankfully we had some left overs after the party. Even a few days later the cake still tasted fresh and delicious. I'll be back for sure

I can't thank you enough for the magnificent wedding cake you created for my sons wedding! Leonard, John and the staff at “A Little Cake” were amazing making our cake for a October 7, 2017 wedding. They had great design ideas and decorated the four tier cake in a beautiful and classy style. Of course, the cake tasted delicious and all the guests absolutely enjoyed their slices! A Little Cake is the absolute best. They did the cake for my 30th birthday and totally nailed it. Gluten free vanilla cake with funfetti filling.... it was absolutely phenomenal. They were super communicative, easy to get to and had everything done on schedule. I cannot recommend them enough!

WOW! I am so impressed! I planned a shark/under the sea 1st birthday party for my son, and needed the cake to really reflect the theme. The cake we received was SO incredible. It totally made the party and everyone was asking me where we got it. Not only was the design exactly what I wanted and more, but the cake actually tasted so good too! I know sometimes you order a fancy cake and it looks nice, but doesn't taste great, well this is not the case with A Little Cake! Their cake looked amazing, tasted amazing and totally blew us away. I'm so thrilled and cannot wait to order another fun cake with them. I highly recommend Leo and his team...they delivered above and beyond my expectations! I should add that they were also very quick to respond to me with any questions, very thorough and were able to work with my budget. :)

We ordered our wedding cake from A Little Cake because they were included in our wedding venue, which I was grateful for because it was one less vendor I had to research. They were so easy to work with - we called to set up our consultation, where we were given an iPad to look through a gallery of their cake designs while they prepared the samples. They also offered us coffee and water while we waited! They presented eight different flavors, from your standard chocolate and vanilla to cannoli and cappuccino. Once we had decided what we wanted, they wrote up an order form, provided us a copy, and we were all set! The cake itself was beautiful and delicious - we went with a simple three-tier buttercream design, and the inside was chocolate and vanilla cakes (alternating layers) with cookies and cream filling. We got so many compliments on both the look and the taste of the cake! I would definitely recommend working with them.

We are so glad to have found this place and when we went for taste testing, we were really taken care off and we got to taste most of their cakes which I have to say, are all really good. Not too sweet and really just right. In fact, alot of people were asking about the cakes on our wedding day. A lot of people really liked the cake that A little Cake made for us. Thank you Leo! I had my wedding cake from A Little Cake for June 23, 2013. The cake was gorgeous however, it looked a little melted and dripping in my wedding photos. I wish this didn't happen and that the cake was handled better. The cake itself was tasty, moist and delicious. I am still upset that the day of picking out the cake was when a show was being filmed in the bakery and I feel that I wasn't getting any attention because I asked for fondant around each tier and instead I got ribbons which I specifically said I hated and didn't want.

I was married in 2017 at the Indian Trail Club and the venue used A Little Cake as one of their bakery providers. We had a great tasting and decided to go with them for our wedding cake! It came out absolutely beautiful and from what everyone said was delicious- I don't think I had any that night :( Fast forward to a few weeks ago when we were planning my dads 64th party. It was Beatles themed and we reached out to A Little Cake for this event too. Leo was wonderful to work with. We were able to tell him what we wanted and him and his team designed the cake beautifully! This time I made sure I had a slice or two and it was delicious! I am not a huge cake fan but A Little Cake really makes a tasty treat! We have definitely found our GO TO cake spot!

AMAZING. We did our cake tasting about 2 months before our wedding and I'm soo glad we chose this place; they were very polite and really wanted us to choose a cake that we would love and remember. The staff is amazing via phone, email and in person. Our wedding was Thursday 0914/17 at Nanina's In the Park and you all did a FANTASTIC job on our cake. Every detail was precise and the cake it's self was DELICIOUS. We chose 4 different flavors for each layer; Oreo, Red Velvet, Chocolate Gnash and a Chocolate/ Vanilla combination. Our guest are still RAVING about the design but most importantly they said the cake was DELICIOUS! Thanks, The Rosado's

We had our wedding at SkyView Golf Club and the venue uses A Little Cake as their wedding cake baker. We scheduled a tasting a few months before the wedding. The bakery was very responsive via email and we had no problem getting an appointment. There were a lot of options and we ultimately decided to go with a combination cake with oreo and cappuccino fillings. Both fillings were delicious! Although I did not have any cake at our wedding (it was way too busy!), our guests said it was very good. The cake looked beautiful!

They were super accommodating to our demands from long-distance and gave us a masterpiece. Our son's 1st birthday cake you created to match the invitations was great! The baby tiger you created on the top of the cake was amazing.The chocolate cake was so moist and the raspberry mousse was the perfect amount of sweetness. The bottom layer was all we ate of the cake but since the cake was so delicious we are not complaining at all. :) The cookies were a hit as well. The baby tiger on them was so cute! We used A Little Cake for my son’s first birthday cake - farm animal theme. Not only was the cake delicious, but it was the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen (after my son, of course)! Everyone was raving about it! It could’ve won a competition on TV! Vanessa was great to work with and had many wonderful ideas. The cake came out better than I could have imagined. The cake for my wedding shower was from A Little Cake and my guests RAVED about it. I decided to also use them for my rehearsal dinner. I called four days before the event and the woman I spoke to on the phone was so accommodating. She talked me through every step of ordering and told me there would be no problem having it done. My husband picked it up and it was PERFECT. The theme was great and the quality of cake was amazing. The flavors are rich and I will continue to use them for events. Not to mention, every person we have dealt with has been helpful and friendly.

This bakery totally screwed up our wedding cake. First, it was the wrong flavor. Secondly, we ordered it with 2 bows on it. The bows were supposed to have 2 brooches. 2 brooches that i purchased seperately and brought to "A Little Cake" in Park ridge.The cake had neither bows, nor my purchased brooches on it. I called them after the wedding, they said they would return my call after I spoke to someone and they never did!

A Little Cake was one of the preferred bakeries of our wedding venue. We met with Leo to discuss our cake, and he was more than accommodating and discussed all of our options with us (our price per head at the venue included a certain "tier" of cake). The tasting was amazing too with so many different flavors! The cake was delivered to the venue on time, and I was very excited to see it when I walked into the reception. To be honest, I never even tasted the cake at my wedding because we were so busy talking to everyone, but my guests had rave reviews, and it looked absolutely stunning.

Drove over an hour to get my novelty cake here. So worth it! It was beautiful, tasted great, even the fondant was good, which in my opinion, is rare. Lobster tails were a hit at the party, best I have had. The staff is very nice. Atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Worth every penny snd the drive.

My wife and I were married in April of 2012 and Le Petit Gateau did the cake for us. Every sample we tasted was awesome, and in the end we chose a few different flavor combinations for the different tiers. All of our guests loved the cake! A lot of cakes look pretty, but taste stale...not this one. It tasted like it was made that same day, and it was decorated to our exact specifications! Just recently I spoke to Leo with my 1st anniversary coming up. He was most helpful and pleasant, and is happy to re-create the top tier of my wedding cake so I can surprise my wife. Outstanding quality of product, and outstanding quality of customer service. I would highly recommend Le Petit Gateau to anyone!

had a GREAT waiter his name was edgar and he was the funniest! He gave us pointers on how to order and get the best deals. He was funny because there was a deal on a full rack of baby back ribs for 15.00 if you buy a drink. I ordered the sangria which was delicious by the way, it tasted more like juice. :) and so i had a friend who wanted to get the best bang for her buck and tried to find the least expensive drink but we were jokingly saying "nahh. the sodas here are probably 5 dollars, thats how they get you!"

We had an event where the venue provided a cake from this place and it was both beautiful and delicious. Good coffee as well, there's room for improvement there but I don't think they claim to be a coffee shop so with that in mind it's pretty good.

A Little Cake gets an A++++! My husband and I were recently married on June 1, 2013. It was 88 degrees and sunny that day. The cake we chose was a beautiful 4 tier white traditional wedding cake in butter cream with different flavors at each level. The wedding cake was unbelievable!! It was not only the most moist tasting cake I think we have ever had, but each flavor was better than the next! A Little Cake provided excellent service from the initial call to the final delivery. Since it was 88 degrees on June 1st, we were concerned about melting. A Little Cake packaged our wedding cake so well that the elements did not affect the cake at all! I highly recommend A Little Cake for your next event!!

They make the best specialty cakes and crumb cake! I’ve used them multiple times including birthdays, weddings, holiday platters and they never disappoint. Very disappointing. Ordered a cake for my daughters baby shower. Theme was jungle. I asked for leaves instead of flowers. Due to cake being whipped cream, I have to pay extra to have leaves made and placed on cake. I was quoted $25. and gladly paid. At the party, the Maitre de pulled me aside and said there was a problem with the cake- It wasn't decorated!!! I looked at the cake and saw an all white cake with a few green leaves on the sides and only on the corners of the cake. It was awful. and to add to the issue, they charged my card $45. I called to let them know how disappointed I was and this was their solution: they split the over charge with me (as if it was my fault!) so they gave me a $10 credit!!!! AND it's a store credit!!! how insulting!!! NEVER EVER will I use them again......very poor customer service!!!!! I also advised the Bacari Grill.

Garbage place. Didn't do the agreed design, delivered a groomsman cake my wife wanted to surprise me with late, put a glob of frosting on the top tier that forced us to abandon a custom made cake topper we had made. It was a take of the WW2 sailor dipping a woman since I was in the Navy. They ommited $800 of sugar flowers as well. All these mistakes can be forgiven since they are just that, mistakes. Unfortunately their repsone was what did it for me. They didn't care, told us we lied and told us too bad. The owner and that wanna be back street boy are scum of the earth. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place .

A Little Cake gets a 5 star for its customer service and work. I ordered a 3 tier cake (mint color) and gold ribbons at the bottom of each tier. Of course I knew that it was plain, but I didn't ask for anything else, thinking there would be an extra charge. On the day of my engagement/wedding, I was amazed. The cake had a little extra something--A Little Cake put real cream-colored flowers from the top to the bottom of the cake. (I wish I can show you the picture). My cake looked beautiful! It made a beautiful touch and a nice ending to my engagement/wedding. Also, A Little Cake responded quickly to my e-mails and concerns.And A Little Cake's cakes are very sweet and tasty!

Got the Same response as one of the other reviewers here horrible service, asked the lady if she was the owner barked at me for asking and asked if I wanted anything cause she was putting a customer on hold for a cake order. So I just ordered the crumb cake and the rainbow cake. So she packed it and said here you go and ran back to the mini clutter office, so much for customer service. Overall the place is easy to find and has a decent decoration decor pretty much the only reason I gave one extra star. Judging from the reviews I'd probably say you're better off getting a cake next door in the Dairy Queen

This place was great. Recommended to us by the HoHoKus Inn, our wedding venue. I knew with only 12 people we didn't want a huge cake but we did want something special. Went there for a tasting and everything was delicious, and ended up buying a lot of their coffee cake which is amazing. I sent them a picture of the basic idea of my wedding bouquet and they were able to match it pretty much exactly, I was so impressed. I think people ended up taking more pictures of the cake then of my husband and I...and they couldn't believe they were frosting flowers, they kept arguing whether they were real or not, and actually approached the cake to see! I was thinking about the cake the entire week up before the wedding and finally I got my piece and frosting flowers and it did not disappoint.

Leo and his team created a special cake for my son's Bar Mitzvah. Instead of the usual Torah scroll, I asked if he could create a skier on a mountain since this is my son's passion. I emailed him pictures of my son, and he created a skier that looked just like him down to the color of his eyes. The look on my son's face when he saw the cake was priceless. Go somewhere else for your wedding cake. The place is highly disorganized am I am very happy that we chose someone else. The cake was included in our venue price and we had the choice of this bakery and another. Needless to say we chose another bakery. Little Cake wouldn't make a 4 tiered cake and demanded that we have a 3 tiered cake. They charge for filings that their competitors include in the price. The owner was completely rude and dismissive while we were there and the people who answer the phones are just as bad. We called the bakery 6 months ago to inform them that we chose another bakery and yet they continue to call and say that we owe them $45 for our filling choice. When I called back the guy who left me a voicemail wouldn't even get on the phone with me. I again informed them that I wasn't using their bakery and was given an attitude. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
