This Bakery belongs to the category of Bakery.
A fine dining experience at casual fine dining prices. Traditional NY Italian and an amazing bakery to choose from dozens of deserts. Atmosphere is suitable for all occasions from a quiet dinner to gals lunch and even a formal event such as bridal reception.
Italian bistro in old Milton area. Upscale interior. Staff is very attentive. Food is above average for Italian but nothing crave worthy. The highlight of the meal was by far dessert. We tried 4 different desserts and each one was as delicious as the last. Highly recommend for a delicious treat!!
Best Bakery in Atlanta. Needs to be on your bucket list for places to visit. You won't be disappointed.
I'd have to say I am rather impressed with their NY Pizza. I was skeptical...but they are pretty legit. Plus they are the only place around that actually serves an 18" Pizza. You can't call yourself NY Pizza unless you serve at LEAST an 18" Pizza. 5 Stars from me.
Excellent staff. Wonderful service and tasty bakery creations. Fun place to visit. Incredible selection of desserts.
Amazing desserts and tasty meals
A must for the dessert!! Dinners are fantastic. Pizza is perfect. Crab cakes are amazing.
Met a work colleague for lunch. First impression: beautiful decor. Large glass cases filled with the most elegant looking cakes, desserts, and pies. The food was marvelous and totally reasonably priced. The calzones and strombolis were huge! I got a meatball sub with sweet potato fries. I appreciated that they didn't try to up charge me for sweet potato fries like some restaurants. How were the fries? Yummy like a fresh funnel cake.
Highly impressed! I drove 30 minutes from Dunwoody to come check out this bakery. They're having a half price slice each Sunday for the next few weeks, so I figured it'd be a great time to stop in. They have a bakery section and a dining room. The place itself is rather dark, leading towards more of a relaxing atmosphere. The desserts look (and smell) so, so good. I got three slices of cake: Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Oreo. All of which knocked them out of the park. They are so moist and delicious. Without the deal, they're about $9 each. With the discount on Sundays, the slices are about $4.50 each, incl tax. The slices are HUGE, so the discount definitely makes you get your money's worth. Without the discount, they have smaller versions of the same slices for about $4-5, which are a little bit more reasonable. This bakery has everything you could ever want, cookies, pies, cheesecakes, cakes, parfaits, and more. I will definitely be back next week to try new sweets. The staff was so friendly and inviting, they were incredibly helpful in picking out the best choices. Like I said, I'll definitely be back next week!
Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Everything is fresh, the bruchetta my fav. And all at a reasonable price...
The dessert is heaven.
The experience was beautiful. We were greeted nicely and our waitress Courtney was sweet and attentive. Oh my the Spaghetti Bolognese with Sausage was so insanely good. Then we went over to the bakery and we stood there like little kids so overwhelmed by the sights and the aromas. I highly recommend this restaurant. I drove all the way from Covington and will gladly do so again.
Every time I have taken my family or out of town guests there, it has never disappointed. The bakery is top notch (we always order something to take on out of town visits such as thanksgiving or Christmas) and all food is delicious. The highlight has always been their pizza. In fact I have a buddy who's Austrian, and his exact comments after a caesar salad and pizza were- "this is the best I've had in the US".
The food has been consistently good. I've tried the pizza and several pasta dishes. The fried calamari is to die for. It's a bit pricey and the meat portions aren't that generous but they don't skimp on the flavors. ALL of desserts are amazing. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose.
Great lunch at a great price. Friendly staff, killer desserts and cloth napkins!
The food was delicious!! Though we had to wait a bit for our food..they forgot to add the chicken on the bar-b-que pizza my son ordered. Myself and the 2 teens enjoyed our experience due to Ethan(our waiter)I would say. Ethan made the dining experience amazing with his professionalism, attentiveness, and beautiful smile!! Check$-102.00+ tip $35.00.Thank you.
This place was really enjoyable and the atmosphere was calming,we loved it! The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable without being hovering. We are planing our next visit already to enjoy a meal and listen to some soft tinkling of the piano ivories.
This review is for the bakery, not the restaurant. I just took my wife to this lovely establishment to enjoy a nice dessert and a coffee, our plan was to sit and enjoy it all in the designated booths before continuing our road trip. My frustration doesn’t really set in before we sit down and try to cut our cakes with the very cheap plastic forks they provide, as we realize this is an impossible feat, we ask two different employees if they could in any way get us a knife, it didn’t matter if it was a matching 1 cent knife to the fork that was already proving itself completely unusable, just anything to help us complete the mission of eating the cakes we had just spent a bunch of money buying. Both staff members denied us any form of help and seemed like they couldn’t care less whether we’d be able to actually eat the cakes or not. My point is: why do you perfect everything in your amazing bakery and then completely drop the ball by denying your customers a $0.01 plastic knife? Help me understand that and we will certainly be your customers again. Btw: I paid a 20% tip on my bill, which makes the lack of service even more annoying. Thanks Carsten
We have been enjoying their cakes for 8+ years and they have never disappointed. Recommend the place - hands down!
My wife bought apple struble here on Saturday. Wehn we went to eat it that evening we found it covered in ANTS
Their cakes are little expensive.. but we love them ❤️
As a family from NYC we have high standards and this place delivered
Awesome selection of desserts
Was great, wish it was cheaper or portions were bigger. Matt was a good server.
Service was good. Food was average and came to the table cold. It actually came to the table too quickly, which made us think it was probably made ahead. The sesame cookies in the bakery are great! House chianti was good too.
Best wedding soup I’ve ever had, and I’m from the North where it’s everywhere. Yes, the cakes are the best!! Most in ATL agree but, the food is amazing too!!
Delicious and great cakes!
Didn't eat there, but had dessert to go. You can't go wrong with chocolate peanut butter cheesecake!
This is one of my favorite restaurants! The staff is incredibly professional and accommodating. The food is delicious. Can't ask for a better experience!
Our go to for Italian pastry. I like the sfogliatelle but my dad said it was a little soggy. I get it every time. The cannoli is ok when the pastry is covered on both sides in chocolate. Otherwise soggy. My wife loves the cream puffs. Dinner there is always good. I like their eggplant Parma with hard boiled egg. A little expensive but good enough to keep me coming back.
Their cookies are amazing. Like really their cookies are amazing. You should get the cookies because they are amazing. If you are looking for a place with amazing cookies you should go here because their cookies are amazing. Oh and BTW their food is good too.
Service was terribly slow and the restaurant was near empty. They also charged $6 for a sliver of vegetable on top of my side pasta. We complained and they took off the charge. It wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular. Sample dessert was tasty. Will not go back though.
Very very tasty cakes
One of the cool places I have visited for cakes. A little up scale but it’s worth the money. They got real good stuff
My wife and I come here for desserts on special occasions, and though it may be out of the way, their desserts are worth it. I'm partial to the red velvet cupcakes myself, but there are so many good treats. We've had a meal here before, but dinner is not something we'd make a detour for, quite honestly. The desserts, on the other hand... The staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
Lace cookies. The best.
I enjoyed eating here a couple of weeks ago. Lovely little place. The Grilled Salmon Salad was full of flavor and the variety of cookies that I tried were all delicious in their own respect.
5 star food every time, with top notch service.
Been getting dessert from here for year and I am never disappointed in taste, quality and quantity. The large servings and fair prices for the best Italian food around.
DESSERTS. We get all of our desserts from this place. When we have out of town guests, when we are entertaining, when we (me) are cheating on our diet. Snickers cannoli, oreo cheese cake bar, cream puffs. Oh mama! EVIL AND WONDERFUL AND TOO CLOSE FOR MY WAISTLINE!
Pizza and salads are great! Crab raviolis are so good ! We love the food and Ali's great service. Kids love going to the bakery after dinner to pick put one of their incredible desserts!
This place used to be a favorite, but our last experience here was enough to turn us away for good. We made a Friday night reservation through OpenTable, but when we arrived we were told they had no tables available and would need to wait 15-20 minutes. I was not pleased with this as it was the whole point of the reservation, and it was corrected quickly, but this was just the start of our terrible experience. We placed an order for drinks, appetizers, and salads. The drinks and appetizers came out quickly, but we waited about 20 minutes for salads. We finished our salads, the server topped off our drinks, and then we waited over an HOUR for our food to arrive. To make matters worse, two of the dishes were cold. The excuse we were given involved a 60-person wedding party in the back room, which was clearly more important to their business than loyal, returning customers. In the end, the manager came out and apologized, they took one dish off the bill, and they gave us a complimentary piece of cake for four guests to split and a gift card. For a bill over $120, I really expected more. We also missed our movie, which we scheduled a full two hours after our dining reservation, thinking we would have plenty of time. Of course, we didn't get the money back for those tickets. I will not return here, not only because of the poor kitchen service but because the restaurant clearly wasn't prepared to deal with the large party in the back. If you are going to accommodate a party like that, you need to staff for it or close your doors to the public to serve them exclusively. As it happens, one of my party is a chef and has extensive experience in the industry. We know that our poor service was due in part to the big party was making the big money, and that's just not acceptable.
Love the bakery!! Ive never eaten at the restaurant but the bakery is fantastic! So many options! It’s always fresh. And very flavorful! The staff is always kind and knowledgeable about the desserts.
Tonight we went in just for dessert. I've had the truffle cheesecake balls in the past and they are amazing! We ventured out a bit tonight and tried some of the cookies and coconut cake. Pretty decent, but certainly not the best I've had. Service could have been a bit more on point, but overall I'd say a B+. In short, if you're in that area then pop in. If not, I wouldn't go out of my way.
I really love this place I usually go often with my fiancé and today I went to go pick up some cannoli ! And beautiful lovely Christine assist me me She had the patient to assist me very well and decorate my box for my manager I love seeing people who really take the time to do that thank you so much
My friend and I came for dessert and coffee. A young lady behind the dessert/cake counter told us we could have dessert brought to us in the main seating area. We have a seat. The manager says we cannot, but concedes after a waiter speaks with her. We've been sitting about 15 minutes, with plenty of dessert and coffee left, when the manager asks, "Do you want this packed away?" Closing time wasn't for another 45 minutes, and I saw her serving all other customers without any pressure to leave. It also turns out my friend and I were the only non-white customers there.
The cake that I got was the best tasteing cake I have had.
Excellent as always. I been coming back for a decade and I feel sorry not to have review before. The best in area. Thank you very much for the experience you offer .
Awesome Italian meal, service and of course pastry, pies, cakes, cookies and tarts.
Overrated. The desserts look really pretty but don't taste that great. Every time I came back to take a bite, my tummy hurt so bad. It's a pass for me.
The best hands down the best fresh bakery in the state of GA I have found so far. Fresh, fresh, fresh! I love the crabapple location! Keep it up guys
Storytime, I ordered 3 salads online from ChowNow with special directions to put an octopus and a t-rex on the boxes. Let me say, THEY PULLED THROUGH AND I'M PROUD. Thank you, please order from this restaurant they are very nice.
Great restaurant and wonderful bakery. Must try the million dollar cake!!
Deserts are amazing. The chicken marsala was delicious.
Amazing Oreo and coconut cupcakes plus cappuccino & latte
The desserts here are like no other honesty’s and very similar to Germany
Oh my God! The menu was impressive and it is also a great place just for coffee and cake...
Good desserts quite pricey though.
Stopped by to have dinner this evening at Alpine Bakery and Trattoria. My family and I have eaten there many times, but, after this evenings experience, we won't be dining here again. I ordered Chicken Scaloppini for dinner. The meal came and was honestly the worst tasting thing I have ever tried to eat. All I could taste was garlic, garlic and more garlic. The waitress stopped by my table and asked if I loved it. Stupid me told the truth and said no that actually I didn't like it at all. She was sweet and offered to bring me something else, but, I stubbornly soldered on trying to find something that tasted good on that plate. Shortly thereafter, a person from the kitchen came out with a hand vacuum and began vacuuming all around my table, then under my table, literally within inches of my feet. I am reasonably sure I said nothing, nor did anything that should have lead to such treatment. Message delivered though, Alpine Bakery doesn't want my business. That is fine folks, but, if you don't listen to your customers and treat them with respect, you won't have very many!
We ordered food from the catering department. The lasagna was absolutely terrible and burnt but they sealed it up in a box so we couldn’t see it when we picked it up. The lasagna had one layer of meat then a layer of pasta then a layer of cheese. The cheese and meat we’re not mixed in the layers. It was literally one layer of meat then pasta then a layer of cheese. When I called to complain they said that’s how they make it but it’s not how they serve in the restaurant. The lasagna they serve in the restaurant is made the traditional way.
Love the oreo cookie cake!!!!
This place is wonderful! From the fabulous service and the stellar lattes to awesome food! They have a wonderful atmosphere as well as delicous options for dessert! Will be back!
Had great drinks and dessert. Wish we had taken a picture. Server was very accommodating with my suggestion to add chocolate to the double espresso martini. Turned out amazing!! Thanks Amy
When you go you have to try the Million Dollar Cake
I love this place! The staff is so friendly. The white pizza was better than in New York. Also the rainbow cookies are to die for
I went there with my family for Mother’s Day to have a nice dinner with my Mom. Unfortunately it was a horrible experience. The food took forever. Everyone around us got there food before us despite us coming in and placing our order before they had even sat down. Then when we are ordering desert it took another 20 minutes for our waitress to get 1 Cannoli, 1 cup cake, and I slice of cake....and you’d think after waiting all night for our food to come out they would at least give you the correct deserts but of course we get all the way home to find out this was not the case.
Picked up an order for lunch and I have to say I was very impressed! I was able to try a bit of everything, from an entree, to a slice of cake and some cookies, and it was all very good! The staff was also friendly and helpful. Next time I will have to dine in, as an Italian from NY, I really appreciated the old world Italian feel of the atmosphere, which seems hard to come by these days
TBH, IDK what the big fuss is about this restaurant's bakery. Yes, there are some unusual flavor combinations, but the texture of the cakes leaves a lot to be desired. Your are given giant slices of cake and/or pastries to justify the high price they charge for them. It's ok if someone else if buying it for you.
Amazing pastries and customer service!
Love this place and cake
Only the best at Alpine Bakery and Trattoria for a long relaxing lunch with friends with great food and exceptional service every time!!
Reservations were made at the Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta for a Sunday night in September in order to celebrate my grandson's 16th birthday. He was very excited because Alpine Bakery was one of his favorite restaurants until now. We arrived & our party of 7 was seated & the dining experience was a disaster from the beginning. Our waiter gave me the impression that he would have preferred to be somewhere else other than working this particular evening & it showed. He took our drink orders, as well as our order for appetizers, then disappeared. Drinks were delivered & our main course orders taken at that time. 30 minutes later we were trying to flag down the waiter to get drinks refilled. We were practically begging for bread which he finally brought out to us. At this point he practically ignored our table. We arrived at 7:00 pm & were finally served at 8:30! During this time I asked to see the manager & she failed to show. My son went into the kitchen & tracked her down, asking that she come to our table. He had to go back to the kitchen for a 2nd time before she finally came to the table. We had to ask 3 times before we finally got her to talk with us. To add insult to injury, my veal scallopini was horrible. It tasted as if the entire dish had been drenched in lemon juice & the veal was tough. When the manager finally arrived, she looked exasperated. She listened to our concerns & finally decided to comp out meal. While that was generous on her part, the entire evening was ruined due to the complete incompetence of the manager & the restaurant staff. We have dined at Alpine Bakery many times & had good experiences, but this was the final straw. I will never dine here again. With over 6500 restaurants in the Atlanta metroplex, I can find comparable restaurants with better food & better service. My advise to everyone: STAY AWAY FROM ALPINE BAKERY!!!!!!!
My wedding cake came from alpine, and it was so good that even 2 years after the wedding it is still talked about. We have also never gone here and not had amazing cake or truffles. I would give them 6 stars if the scale would allow.
The crumb cake took me back to some my mom made growing up. The texture is soft. When you apply your fork it holds together but parts easily. It is buttery with the perfect vanilla with one difference they have blueberry and apple. Absolutely delicious.
Disappointed with how little attention we got from our server on a night that wasn't too busy. I was there with a friend, and we look a little young but if we could've gotten ahold of our server more often we would've gotten dessert and appetizers. Instead we skipped right to entrees because we were tired of waiting for him to pop up (we told him we needed some thinking time after getting bread, but he disappeared completely for way too long). Even after I finished my food, and we were in a rush because we needed to catch a movie, we had to wait ages just to be able to wave him down for a box and our check. Had he come sooner we would have had dessert! I work in the upscale restaurant business and it was sad to get treated like kids when we had money to spend! The food was great, but I wish we could have gotten more than entrees. Unfortunately we were in a time fix and because our server was MIA all night we didn't get the chance for anything else. Might come back to try on a much slower night but I'll avoid weekends from now on.
Love This Place ALot
Good service. Good Food
We are new to the area and visited the bakery on Saturday morning. Everything was well stocked and beautiful. But we found out that beauty does not transfer over to good tasting. The baguette was very dense with mushy crust. No taste. The large $9.00 dessert was beautiful but not very good. Yikes. Comes on people. Put less time in the presentation and more effort in the actual TASTE! It's really the only thing that matters.
Love it
Exceeds expectations !!
Beyond expectations. Excellent food, service and desserts. A welcome change from the mundane.
Bought a variety of truffles today at Alpharetta store. Some were marked $13.95 per pound, and some were marked $12.95, yet I was charged $13.95 per pound for ALL of them! When I pointed out the discrepancy, Danielle ( name on receipt) refused to correct. She also complained when I asked for the receipt. So I’ll buy mr desserts elsewhere.
Amazing food and desserts, amazing attention
Always great food & deserts. We have been going for years and never disappointed.
My favorite spot for cakes by far! Excellent quality and the consistency over the years has been great. Haven't eaten at the restaurant, but the Italian take out has been top notch, love the Stromboli.
Fabulous place to eat..Best desserts ever
I’ve not tried the food so this review is only for dessert. I love this place every time I go there. This is a bit too far for me but whenever I get a chance to be close by, I make sure to stop here. I absolutely adore their cake selections. I usually get either death by chocolate or tiramisu. Neither ever fail to disappoint me. The ads is amazing and they try very hard to cater to all your needs.
The food and desserts were okay, I didn't find them mind blowing. Our server was really nice, and he put a candle in the dessert for my mom's birthday. However, there was no complimentary birthday dessert. We went in the middle of the day on a Saturday, and it was not very busy.
Lots of dessert items!! I tried the raspberry chocolate cake and death by chocolate. Both were delicious. They also had a lots of other cakes, cupcakes, cookies & other pastries! They looked delicious too. It seemed like a nice restaurant which serves a lots of desserts, coffees, frappes & some food!
Delicious place, great baked items. Little out of the way and won't deliver even though I've been a customer since their first location. The guy was pretty rude about it, too, so that's why the loss of a star. Otherwise, FANTASTIC and worth the drive (for now).
Excellent food, generous portions. Save room for dessert.
Unbelievable selection of baked goods. The cakes look like something out of a culinary magazine. Beautiful!
Always amazing. Top 3 pizza places in North Fulton! But they really shine on the wide variety and incredibly tasty desserts. Friends that live in other metro Atlanta communities try to plan their visits to our home around Alpine's opening hours so that they can be sure to take desserts home to enjoy later.
When it comes to dessert we tried the a couple of truffles as well as the choc chip cookie and an espresso cookie. The Oreo and Pb truffles as well as the espresso cookies were overly sweet. The chocolate chip cookie needed more flavor and chocolate for sure. We were a little disappointed giving the fact we have been looking to visit this place for a while. They did have some awesome looking pieces of cake, cheesecake, and pies which were roughly $10 each. Quite a bit for a dessert, although portions are huge but unless you have 4 people willing to share is just too much. Wish portions were smaller, they would probably sell more.
Amazing pizza and desserts. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I'm so glad my wife and I found this place. It is very clean and romantic too for those who want a great time.
First time visit and we will definitely be back!!! Sat outside in the covered patio area, intimate and comfortable. The food was excellent and the wait staff attentive. We wanted to order Death by Chocolate for dessert, but it has some type of almond base to it and we had someone in our party who is allergic to tree nuts. We were disappointed about that, but we had cheesecake instead which was terrific!! Great restaurant!
Have been going here for a few years. They used to have average service. Since the management has been changed the service is excellent. The food is very good. The bakery is also awesome. Try it out, you won't be disappointed. Take it from a100% Sicilian raised on pasta and all the Italian dishes you could imagine
Great Italian food and bakery. Also the serice was smooth and kind. A definite stop when visiting Alpharetta GA.
One of the best place to find really good cakes in the town
Best description - yum! We've never gotten anything other than excellent food there. The only problem is you walk in seeing everything at the bakery side, but you know you should eat dinner first and by the time you finish eating your dinner it's so good that you're absolutely too full to fit any dessert. But they can fix that. You just get it to go.
They have beautiful cakes but it was too sweet for me. The second time I visit this place I was looking to sit down and have a coffee, they gave us to go cups and they had a little table on the side. Never had dinner so can’t review
Everything is good here!
This is seriously the best bakery in existence. The million dollar cake and key lime bars are my favorite but everything is amazing. They will be catering my wedding!
Very friendly staff, mouth watering cake. Bought Raspberry white chocolate cake and it was fabulous. Guest enjoyed it thoroughly. Little pricy but worth it. Enjoy the food
I used to frequent Alpine all the time. However, after my past two experiences with the restaurant I will not be going back for the foreseeable future. Incident #1: We called in a relatively small yet simple take out order for a family birthday, two large meatball pizzas at around 3:30 because we planned to eat around 4: 5:00. I was told that the pizza would be ready in about 45 minutes which was fine. However, once I arrived I was told that they had not even started making my pizzas because of an issue with the oven in the kitchen. When I asked why nobody had called to inform me that my pizza would not be ready in a reasonable amount of time I was subjected to an eye roll and told that they had no way of calling every single person who had placed an order for carry out. I left empty handed and had to scramble to put a last second birthday dinner together. Incident 2: My brother insists that I give it another shot. We plan a family dinner with some relatives who are visiting out of town. The waiter was extremely snotty and disinterested in our table seeing as the only person who received a refill had to ask for one on three separate occasions. In addition to the terrible service the food was just average, nothing special. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the table that we were seated at seemed to be cheaply made seeing as it wobbled anytime someone attempted to cut their food with a knife and fork.
The key lime pie bar tastes like its been in the glass case for weeks! But the turtle cupcake was extremely good!
Best customer service I have ever had at a bakery. Believe it or not, that's not the best part.. the cakes are so delicious!! I don't normally eat cake, but am ordering a "million dollar cake" and a strawberry shortcake roll for my wedding. They are AMAZING! I had dreams about these cakes after I left from the tasting. They are THAT good.
This place a lot going for it including some of the best desserts I've ever had. Tons of sweets to choose from. it's pretty expensive but it is worth it as an occasional decadent treat.
This was the first time i ate cake from this bakery and it had lump of unmelted sugar in it , too sweet to eat . very disappointed though .( it looked delicious) raspberry chocolate cheese cake . purchase date 19 sept.
BEST CHEESECAKE! Hands down. We even ordered three large ones for our "groom's cake" a couple of years ago. My husband is a huge Bills fan, and they even added the Bills logo! Our wedding guests LOVED it. We didn't have any left at the end of the night!
Love this place desserts are awesome we love the salmon
Decent food, good dessert (But Pricey) as long as you get what you ordered - three times in a row they ended up boxing wrong things when we brought some dessert to go after dined in.
They offer good gastronomy, desserts and the attention is excellent.
Delicious cakes!!!!
Went there for coffee and desert. It was very tasty and the service was very good.
I loved EVERYTHING about this place !!! By far, the best bakery ANYWHERE !!! Anyone that says their staff is rude, needs to look at themselves. The staff has always been wonderful & go out of their way to please. The food is awesome & plenty of it.
Every restaurant that has great desserts, buys them from this place.
The besr
The pizza and calzones are delicious at the Woodstock location. The place is clean and staff very friendly!! Just had dinner at the Alpharetta location. We ordered spaghetti and sausage with red sauce, a chicken dish, a huge calzone and a piece of chocolate / cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!!
The kind of bakery that is rare, using only the freshest best ingredients, real butter, real traditional recipes, bows European and American. And that's just the bakery. The restaurant menu is incredible, not like any place else, and they have catering as well. It's one of my favorite places.
In my opinion one of the best pizzas in the Roswell/Alpharetta area. Pizza always comes out fresh, piping hot, and great ingredients.
Best cake ever!!!
I visited the Alpine Bakery on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30 PM. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the display of beautiful desserts. They have a little bit of everything sweet; cakes, pastries, pies, truffles, etc. The line moves pretty fast. To my surprise there were eight people looking at the display and making purchases. To make a long story short, the desserts were delicious. I ordered one of the large cupcakes and my daughter ordered some pastries . She was very happy in the presence of all of the glorious desserts which made me happen. I'm looking forward to going back as there appeared to be a place where you can sit and order other types of food. I originally thought it was just a bakery.
Everything here is delicious! I love this place...
Delicious
Best New York style pizza in Alpharetta! Delicious cookies and pastries too! Yummy...
I ordered takeout tonight, same eggplant parmesan which I've had before. It was tough, lacked flavor, just not up to standard. My husband and son thought the same of their dish. I'll rethink this spot.
Went for the first time with friends. My wife and I shared the Calamari appetizer, Cesar Salad and the Seafood risotto. Service, atmosphere, and food were all top shelf. Manager checked on us himself. Highly recommend to any and all. Great Experience.
Poor customer service and poorly made cake. Went in the buy a whole cake but they only had one half left. They would not let me buy the half unless I paid by the slice which would have cost more than the whole cake. Ended up buying two slices and I am sorry I did. The cake was dry and the mousse was hard. Very disappointing given the price. A grocery store cake would have been better.
This place is expensive and over rated. The service is below average and take out staff are not very welcoming at all. Basically like it's your privilege to have them serve you. Ordering cakes in advance costs you an additional 3% on top of the average price. they don't prepare or write on cakes until you arrive. Basically so they can double dip if you don't show.
The restaurant is really good Italian food...but I come here because of the bakery, the best around.
Really like this place. Closest thing to the old Marietta Dinner. Cakes are delicious but are inconsistent in quality and ingredients. Had a few dinner items that were fairly priced for the portion received and tasted very good for the area. Definitely would like to go again and try some more items. The cookies and other baked goods are a bit over rated for the price; Home baked is still better. The staff is ok.. Busy restaurant. Get a lot of stress/anxiety/fake smiles which ruin the meal having to manage people when all I want is some calm peeps and some peace to eat without being irritated. The folks over in the baked goods area have always been wonderful, patient, and polite. Nice layout and comfy set up overall. Customer are ok for the most part, for the area..
Good food and service plus an amazing selection of desserts!
Another great date place!
For a bakery in the suburbs, this place has some good selection of pastries but necessarily high quality and innovative. The high prices don't match the quality. The Italian food options are quite decent but at city(ATL) prices.
What an awesome bakery'! We've been there a few times & so far our favorites are; coconut cake, chocolate mousse cupcake, Swiss roll cake, keylime pie, Napoleon peanut butter cheese cake. The portions are large enough fir two people to share. Very good. We will be back.
The food here is generally above average. The service however has slowed down. Today we were there, on a Friday before a long weekend. We arrive at 2:40. Our food, for 3 of us, with no special orders, took 40 minutes to arrive. We were served by the manager, because she said "Our service staff is swamped", but there were literally only 3 other families in the entire place. The whole time we were there we never once saw a single service staff, so if by "swamped" she mean "absent", that would make more sense. The place just feels dreary; the lighting is dim, the music is... old, the decor is out of 1963, and not in a 'chic' way. The bench seats are almost universally broken down, or overly soft, but whatever the cause, you sit way too low in them for the table. The deserts are great, but the serving size is just absurd. I get we want more for our money, but cutting the serving size (and price) in HALF would still be large enough for multiple people.
Always great. Calamari is excellent. Desserts are amazing. Service prompt, attentive and friendly.
Food is always very good. Staff is usually very attentive. The menu is somewhat overpriced, however. Otherwise, I would frequent this restaurant more often.
Amazing dessert that also serves great authentic Italian food. Try the Zuppa.
Great deserts, decent food, Huge portions.
Yummy!
Okay pastries
A very nice Italian restaurant (also a bakery) with excellent service and live piano music. Our group of a dozen ranging in age from 10 to 80 all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. In particular, I can recommend the gnocchi, chicken marsala, and grilled salmon salad. The portions are on the big side, but aren't huge. The desserts, from their bakery, are outstanding.
Found Trattoria by accident and am completely thrilled about the service and the meals my wife and I had! Absolutely wonderful and we will be back!
thanks alpine for answering my previous comment, I tell you that when I went I asked for a high chair and they gave me a booster, and they told me that they did not have high chairs in the restaurant, I really could not enjoy my visit because my daughter has 1 year, is very restless and went down and up every moment of the booster.
Fantastic rainbow cookies I can only find in New York
Was decent. I didn't understand why they put sugar on the sweet potato fries though. Didn't care for that.
I'm basically a Pizza snob. I love homemade pizza and pizza's made on woodfired grills. This place does not disappoint in the pizza department! There's no better pizza test than the first bite and how stringy the mozzarella is. I could eat an entire pizza if it were socially acceptable. Also the desserts are basically the whole reason for going. I love the turtle chocolate cheesecake. We've had the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and it's also out of this world. I have yet to have something from here that I haven't loved.
Want very sweet American pastries? Come here! Lots of options! The dinning area was little odd, in the center of the store while people walking by to order pastries.
Great food! Had cheese sticks and crab meat apps..... Chicken scaloppini, Rustica, & pasta Milano main dishes as well as desserts .... All was excellent! Would highly recommend. Only negative was service. It took entirely too long for desserts AND they charged us a 20% tip on a party of 7 (3 of which were children) ...And a $15 corking fee. Bad gesture especially for a party of our size that ordered drinks and desserts..
What a wonderful Italian restaurant and bakery I am so glad to know about it. I had the Chicken Francese for dinner which is a gluten free option. The portions were quite large so it provided lunch for me the next day. I was too full to try one of the bakery items so that will have to be for another visit. We also got excellent service. What a nice treat!
Try the Red Velvet Cake!
Food is great but service is not. The last three times we have gone there for dinner, both during the week and on a weekend, it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. In addition, the waitress never comes to the table to check in or let us know what’s going on. I typically order to go and this is fine.
Absolutely Love this place. Great Italian food and the desert lineup is out of this world. So hard to choose which desert yo go with.
Risotto cake was bathing in oil, and hair was in food. Overpriced for what you get.
You want to talk about the best cupcakes in the entire Georgia area at a reasonable price, then your at the right place. Amazing. You will regret ever going to the grocery store for your pastries, don't cheat your sweet tooth. Love it.
Best bakery in the area!. Their cheesecake, cupcakes, truffle and cookies are amazing!!!! Did i mention their cheesecake, hands down the best!!. Their cakes are a bit pricey but overall good.
