I have had the pleasure of staying a few times at the Alpine Meadows Ranch in Darby, Montana. So peaceful and lovely. What a joy to get away from it all and enjoy Montana at it's best. Have been there in summer months and winter months. One of my best recollections was cross country skiing on the property, the only thing I could hear was my breathe and the crackle of the snow in the trees, breathtaking. Summer activities are too many to list, but playing in the irrigation ditch and swinging in the seat under the very tall pine trees rank on top. You won't be disappointed; small family vacation, or large event will both feel intimate and special.
